    Description

We are a family-owned and family-run winery in the heart of the Chianti region. Originally from Switzerland, my parents moved to Badia a Passignano in 1990, where they became early pioneers of sustainable agriculture and later organic winemaking.
In 2019, my wife Stephanie and I joined the adventure, and together we are now shaping the future of our estate.

Alongside our wine and olive oil production, we run a small agriturismo, and we recently opened our Locanda – a cosy combination of restaurant, wine bar, and guest accommodation. Because everything we do is family-driven, you will be working with us in our daily life: in the kitchen, with guests, or doing a tasting. We enjoy sharing our knowledge about wine, food, and rural life in Tuscany – and we love hearing about other cultures in return.

Hosting is not just about help for us. We see it as an exchange: we teach what we know, and we learn from the people who stay with us. Every season brings new languages, new stories, and new ideas, and that is one of the things we value most.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

During your stay, you will be fully immersed in Tuscan life – from local agricultural traditions to authentic regional cuisine. You will have the chance to learn about wine production first-hand, wine presentation and tasting.

Cultural exchange is at the heart of why we host:
you will practise Italian daily while also meeting guests from many different countries, sharing stories, languages and experiences. We are happy to teach you about our local traditions, and we are equally curious to learn from your culture in return.
