    Description

We’re Lisa-Maria and Charlotte—two Gaian women who followed a calling to breathe new life into a forgotten piece of land in La Orotava, Tenerife. In 2023, a wild 25,000 sqm property with an orchard now again flourishing with oranges, apples, figs, avocados, olives, nisperos, lemons and peaches.

We are the guardians of the land which has become a livng laboratory and a regenerative culture reserach and training centre.

This is a space for radical responsibility, inner navigation, and regenerative living. A place for people to do the deep inner work necessary to build a new kind of culture—from the inside out, as well as live regeneratively on the outisde and looking after the land and each other.

We are looking for 5-10 people to join our team from the 9th of August until the 8th of September for our summer land project. This means Monday to Friday for 4-5 hours we will work together in teams at times we decide together. We will be planting fruit trees and flowers and herbs, tending to the orchard, composting, clearing paths, making dry toilets and a pizza oven and generally creating beauty on the land . There will be other activities such as village circles, open days, workshops, dance parties, cinema nights, adventure days and whatever else we think up.

The food arrangements are 3 meals a day, we work in teams to prepare breakfast and dinner and lunch is self service or we make extra from breakfast. Every day whoever wants to cook volunteers and this is part of the shift, there are also 4 of us permanent residents on that team. The food is provided. Weekends are completely free and we will choose to organise meals as we go.

Experience in useful and not necessary.

However, interest in personal growth and inner transformation is essential as it is part of our culture here. This does not mean there is a pressure to be anything other than just as you are. We simply pratice being real, saying what is happening with us and letting the team be with us, we talk about and express our feelings and use really incredible tools that we will share with you. For example torus technology for making decisions together and practices to manage reactivity and conflict.

We work as a team, this is an experience in living in community and collaborating with other people without hierarchy. Your proposals, ideas and creativity are very welcome. Most of all this is an adventure to experience living a different kind of culture, one that you co-create from what you want.

This is a drug and alcohol free property - this means that during your stay here if you come onto the land under the influence of substances, even if you did not consume them on the land, then you will be asked to leave until they have worn off. If it happens repeatedly, you will be asked to leave.

We have a strict policy of no violence - to yourself or others. This includes emotional and energetic violence.

We are not a business and there have no paying 'guests', during your stay the only people there will be the core team and the volunteers who come.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You will learn about non-hierarchical team and how to make decisions harvesting the group intelligence, how to manage with emotions and reacivity in community with love and clarity so that it does not stop the project from advancing and so people can be heard and can heal. You will learn about conflict mediation, collaborative communication, the distinction between feelings and emotions and the power of team. You will learn about community-building and conscious communication skills.

Also you will gain hands on skills about tending the land, planting, using certain tools, developing skills in making things with your hands.

We have a beautiful land to experiment this with, a land which is generous, welcoming and full of space to play, to create and to come alive.

The invitation here is to cultivate an intimate relationship with the land and to be a guardian of her, to relate with her as part of the team, to ask her what she needs, what she wants, to ask her permission before we do anything, to let her guide us.

This experience blends tools and initations for inner development with hands-on practice. These are the projects to choose from to dedicate your time and energy to, which in turn will nourish and support the land and project.
