    Description

We moved to this quiet property on the Bruce Peninsula in 2021. We're in Purple Valley, between Wiarton & Lion’s Head.

We're directly on the Bruce Trail, surrounded by a magical forest and just a short, 3-minute walk to a breathtaking cliff-top view of Georgian Bay (it's a 1-hour hike down to the rocky shoreline).

My name is Phil. I've been involved in the gardening/food-growing world for 20+ years and am happy to share what I've learned.

My partner is originally from Mexico. She gets cacao beans directly from organic farmers there, which she roasts to make drinking chocolate "elixirs," which she sells online and in cafes.

We live here with our twin daughters, born in 2019. We're fairly busy with work and the kids, so we don't have all that much time to socialize, which means a stay at our place is best for people who are happy spending some time by themselves, but we are very friendly and love having people around.

I go to Toronto every other week (usually Sundays), so I could pick you up there (and drop you back off on another Sunday).

Your stay will be outdoors in a nice canvas tent with a mattress and bedding.

You can spread out your help hours however you like.

Wifi is open whenever you need it.

Feel free to ask any questions you have :)

We live in the countryside and work mostly from home, so most of your time will be spent here.

In the summer, we try to head to the beach for a couple of hours once a week, but mostly, we spend our time at home, drinking coffee and hot chocolate and enjoying the view :)

We need a lot of help with all aspects of house renovation and maintenance.

    Accommodation

For now, we only have camping available. It's a great property for camping! We'll give you a tent with a mattress and bedding or you can use your own tent/vehicle.

As for food, we can eat all meals together or you can eat some meals on your own - whatever is best for you. We're happy to accommodate dietary requirements.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are very rural, so the main activities around here are hiking, relaxing in nature, meditating, and reading a lot of books!

There's no public transportation, but we drive to town a couple of times a week. And Phil drives to Toronto every other Sunday, so he can pick you up and drop you off in Toronto or at Pearson Airport or anywhere else nearby.
