Description
We live in Transnzoia county in Kenya. We love to have volunteers all over the world. We have various work that we do .
We need helpers who can help us in the farm and gardening, helping the children with homework, youTube and video editing .
We also have household jobs, such as cleaning; cooking (if you like to cook).**Over Spring and Summer, the help needed is mostly in the farm, with not a lot of help needed inside…unless it rains like now.
Usually, you'll be doing a job that suits your interest or skill .
We require 4 hours of help/day (28hrs/week )in exchange for: guest bedroom, meals , good WIFI; Netflix; Sight-seeing tours.
-------- For Helpers with QUALIFICATIONS (eg. Building; Plumbing; Painting; Plasterer etc) we will accept less hours each week. Ask us for details.---------
We are happy for helpers to work their hours as they choose. Longer days can be worked to build up hours, so that you can have days off when you want.
All helpers have a private bedroom (if travelling together...you will share the room with your friend). MINIMUM 2 WEEK STAY. Longer stays welcome too.
We love outdoor activities & have many National Parks close by & we regularly 'thank' Helpers by taking them on day road trips. There's usually bushwaking (bring walking shoes and waterproof jacket!); spectacular scenery & animals involved. We own a 4 seater, vehicle. Most past Helpers chose to do more than 4 hours/day, so that they could have 2 days off each week. We are very flexible & fair hosts, who expect the same from our guests.
When applying to stay with us, PLEASE LET US KNOW: What interests you about our Homestay (eg why you chose us); your interests; skills or experience ( only if your profile does not have those details); the dates that you are requesting (even approximately). On YOUR Helper profile, it's a good idea to have: detailed description about your interests. We will reply to ALL applications, so please be polite & reply to us, even if you've chosen another host or decided not to come to us. Thanks.
