Description
My partner and I got this farm 7 years a go with the intention of restoring a very neglected land. We have put a lot of effort into reviving the trees, the infrastructures on the land, collecting a variety of rare subtropical fruit trees. We have planted saffron, lots of different fruit trees, build water reservoirs, put up yurts to host visitors. We would like to implement more permaculture/syntropic principles once the fencing of the farm is completed. Our farm is certified organic and we wish to create a small community here on the farm with like-minded people to live with us in nature and share knowledge.
We do live very immersed in nature 'rural' style so being comfortable with being more secluded is necessary. However the village is only a 20mins walk by foot!
We're looking for independent people with creative farming ideas and easy going.Types of help and learning opportunities

We live in the south of Spain in a very traditional town where Spanish is the main language spoken. It is a great place to become familiar with a different language, a more laid back rural living surrounded by a beautiful subtropical landscape.
By staying with us on the farm you will get to immerse yourself in nature, living in one of our offered spaces (yurts, wooden cabin) and get a feel of what outdoor living is all about. We are passionate about rare subtropical fruit trees, something we are very open to share knowledge about with people coming to stay with us.
You can deepen your knowledge on gardening, planting trees and building projects. Its a great place to learn how to live in an alternative way and off grid.Help
We are a couple living on a certified organic farm. Every few weeks we dedicate time to weeding the garden, planting it and revitalizing it. There are various building projects happening that can be helped with from time to time. We're currently very busy with restoring the farm after the Spain floods in November 2024, it left our farm with lots of damages. These would now be the most important daily tasks: plant trees, move yurt to a new platform, help plant specific erosion adapted plants, rebuild the vegetable garden, restore terraces and much more.
We also have 2 dogs that love having more people to play with.
The help needed will not be related to the production of the farm.Languages

What else ...
We live at a walking distance from the closest village, about 18mins where there is a lovely bar with all kinds of food and a local grocery shop with some organic products. The area surrounding us is known for hiking due its astounding natural beauty. The ability to drive is very useful given the fact that within 45mins drive you can visit the Alhambra in Granada and its ski resorts, the beaches are about 40mins drive as well. multiple incredible natural sights worth discovering while you'll be here.
It is recommended that you have independent living skills, respect each others boundaries and can be responsible for personal entertainment.
We usually share lunch on working days and weekends are mostly personal days of either activities, rest and exploring.
We also have 2 cats and 2 dogs that we can all care for.
There is no access to television and wifi can be used on occasion as it is accessible only in our house but there are multiple spots with reception on the farm to connect yourself to your mobile internet.
We love to meet people and get to know them over the course of time on the farm!
Looking forward to share this experience with.A little more information
