    Description

This is a XVII century farmhouse with 16ha of land in the heart of the sunny Costa do Sol in Estoril. One kilometre away from the beach and a 25-minute drive from Lisboa. Its land is on the smallest demarcated wine region in Portugal, Carcavelos DOC and its wine history dates back to its foundation.

The land and farm buildings were mismanaged for several years.
The main activities for this year are physical and demanding:
Cleaning and dismantling ruins, building provisional wooden sheds and fences, construction plumbing, carpentry, masonry, fruit picking, tree cutting, pruning by the winter months, housekeeping, animal care, horticulture, agriculture...
There are children in the house, dogs and animals outside.

Accommodations and food are offered in exchange for 4 hours a day help.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Ideas of auto-sufficiency, sustainability, autochthonous biodiversity and habitats, agroforestry, permaculture, ecology, cultural and historical preservation, immaterial and material, modernisation, disruption, profit, cultural and intellectual exchange linger above the reconstruction of this farm.
Task procedures will be organised and efficient.
We have a great respect for the history and build infrastructure inherited on this land. Our goal is to gain the best understanding on how to reconstruct it. For that we are constantly surrounding ourselves with people that can add knowledge of old and modern, farming and building techniques and procedures.
