Hear hear you woke band!
So, you want to recharge your batteries in the countryside, right? Do you want to leave your alienating techno-liberalist environment to hug the trees?
You are in the right place ! There are trees here!
Welcome to [insert name] (this may be your first task)!
This is Camille, witch-anarco-pop-flower-power from Lanaudière, who wants to make my lair a community adventure filled with friends. I bought this land 5 years ago and it is time to grow the cabal. This is why I registered on workaway in order to find people ready to invest in this dream of witchcraft-solidarity.
What are you going to do here? You can get involved in many activities. You will help me a lot with household and daily tasks but there are also great medium and long term projects where we will learn together: creating a greenhouse, doing gardens, sewing projects, helping neighbors... Y There's something for everyone!
The food we grow in the garden will only be for us. We're not selling it but we're going to have a lot of processing to do to keep as much as possible for the winter. I am not a business and I do not accept guests who pay to be in my home.
You can also get involved in popular initiatives in the region! For example, there is the Monday thrift store in Rawdon, the evenings at Bal Maski in Saint-Gabriel or even the free anarchist café in Sainte-Emilie. Everything is possible but the goal is to create links in the region to make people understand that popular-initiative witchcraft: it’s cool!
At the moment, my friend Mathieu lives here. A little country queer, Mathieu likes to do a lot (a lot!!) of activity and he will be happy to accompany you in the various projects around the house (while I work to pay the tabarnouche bills :’().
Otherwise there is also my brave companion Alpine who has been with me in this crazy adventure since the beginning. Half bear, half warthog, Alpine is a ball filled with love who thinks she (and so do we) is human.
If you have a tank, you're welcome because it's true that life on a bike here is not fun. Mathieu will be able to tell you about his unique and traumatic experience of riding a 30-minute bike ride to the village.
Otherwise, it will go into thumb project!! Long live the thumb yes!!
Also, we love the community and that comes with the creation of a queer, feminist and safe space where the atmosphere is one of well-treatment. Queer people, feminists and people from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community will be favored to move towards my cabaleresque vision.

Ici Camille, sorcière-anarco-pop-flower-power de Lanaudière, qui souhaite faire de mon antre, une aventure communautaire remplie de copaines. J’ai acheté ce terrain il y a déjà 5 ans et il est temps de faire grandir la cabale. C’est pourquoi je me suis inscrite sur workaway afin de trouver des personnes prêtes à s’investir dans ce rêve de sorcellerie-solidaire.
Qu’est-ce que tu vas faire icitte ? Tu peux t’investir dans moult activités. Tu vas beaucoup m’aider dans les tâches ménagères et quotidienne mais il y a aussi de beaux projets sur moyens et longs termes où nous allons apprendre ensemble : créer une serre, faire les jardins, des projets couture, aider les voisin.e.s … Y’en a pour tous les goûts!
La nourriture qu'on va faire pousser au jardin ne sera que pour nous. On ne la vend pas mais on va avoir beaucoup de transfo à faire pour en garder un maximum pour l'hiver. Je ne suis pas une entreprise et je n'accepte pas les hôtes qui payent pour être à la maison.
Tu pourras aussi t'investir dans les initiatives populaires de la région ! Il y a par exemple la fripe du lundi à Rawdon, les soirées au Bal Maski à Saint-Gabriel ou même le café libre anarchiste de Sainte-Emilie. Tout est possible mais le but est de créer du lien dans la région pour faire comprendre aux gens que la sorcellerie-initiativo-populaire : c’est cool !
En ce moment, mon ami Mathieu habite ici. Petit queer champêtre, Mathieu aime faire beaucoup (beaucoup!!) d’activité et il pourra t’accompagner avec plaisir dans les différents projets de la maison (pendant que moi je bosse pour payer les factures tabarnouche :’().
Sinon il y a aussi ma brave compagne Alpine qui m’accompagne dans cette aventure saugrenue depuis le début. Mi-ourse, mi-phacochère, Alpine est une boule remplie d’amour qui se prend (et nous aussi) pour une humaine.
Si tu as un char, tu es lae bienvenu.e parce que c’est vrai qu’icitte, la vie en vélo c’est pas jojo. Mathieu pourra te parler de son expérience unique et traumatisante de ride de 30 min de vélo jusqu’au village.
Sinon, ça partira en projet pouce !! Vive le pouce oui !!
Aussi, nous aimons le communautaire et cela vient avec la création d’un espace queer, féministe et safe où l’ambiance est à la bientraitance. Seront privilégiées les personnes queer, féministes et de la communauté 2SLGBTQIA+ pour tendre vers ma vision cabaleresque.

We like autonomy, the sharing of knowledge and the documentation of it, fake we made a beautiful Google Drive so that you can participate in this beautiful project. You'll see you won't be completely left to your own devices. Basically, this project is built based on meetings. We want community in the house and to make it shine outside the walls.

On aime l’autonomie, le partage du savoir et la documentation de celui-ci, fake on a fait un beau google drive pour que tu puisses participer à ce beau projet. Tu vas voir tu ne seras pas totalement laissé à toi-même. Dans le fond, ce projet se construit en fonction des rencontres. On veut du communautaire dans la maison et le faire rayonner en dehors des murs.

Ici, on a envie d’apprendre de toi et que tu apprennes de nous. Les projets s'adaptent en fonction de tes skills. Puis bon, il y a des tâches quotidiennes indéniables qui font rouler le Schmilblick (ménage, cuisine, tondre, déneiger, promener Alpine). Mais il y a aussi des projets qui grandissent avec le temps comme le potager, qui se définissent comme les rêves et qui se concrétisent si possible.
Bref, on veut de ton aide et on va le co-définir ensemble!
