We are looking for a warm, emotionally intelligent and respectful person to share a meaningful experience with our family in the beautiful Vallemaggia Valley, in the Italian-speaking part of southern Switzerland.
This place naturally attracts people who love simplicity, nature, creativity and authentic human connections. We feel most comfortable around calm, positive and conscious individuals — people who genuinely enjoy spending time with children, appreciate peaceful environments, and value kindness, empathy and mutual respect in everyday life.
We live surrounded by mountains, forests, rivers and some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland. It is an ideal place for people who love outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding or simply swimming in crystal-clear natural waters during summer. Life here is slow, natural and deeply connected with the rhythms of nature 😎
Our home is a large historic house from the 1600s, full of character and atmosphere. You will have your own private room and personal space.
We especially appreciate people who are naturally caring, creative, curious and emotionally balanced. Artistic souls, nature lovers, thoughtful travelers, people interested in culture, philosophy, science or alternative ways of living usually feel very comfortable here.

Dear Readers,
I am currently seeking a mature, reliable, and caring woman — ideally with a background in Waldorf Education / Steiner education — who speaks English and would be interested in joining our household in Vallemaggia, Switzerland, for a temporary live-in exchange arrangement.
As a single mother of two children — Pedro (3 years old) and Vittorio (16, largely independent) — and while establishing a professional practice in the fields of ecological construction, architectural restoration, and heritage conservation, I find myself in need of practical and emotional support within the home environment.
The role would primarily involve:
attentive childcare and daily companionship for my youngest son,
light household management and organization,
cooking and maintaining a clean, harmonious domestic environment.
From a psychological and pedagogical perspective, contemporary developmental studies emphasize the importance of stable, emotionally responsive adult figures in early childhood, particularly during phases of family transition and high parental workload. A calm, intergenerational presence can contribute significantly to children’s emotional security, routine formation, and social development. For this reason, I would also warmly welcome an older woman whose experience and nurturing disposition could offer a meaningful “grandmotherly” presence within the household.
In exchange, I can offer:
a private room within our home,
daily meals,
the opportunity to experience life in the beautiful Vallemaggia region of Switzerland,
and participation in a family environment connected to sustainability, restoration, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.

We are looking for a kind, honest and responsible person to join our family and help us with our little child, as well as with some small tasks around the house and garden.
We would love to welcome someone with a positive attitude, a big heart, and good organizational skills. A person who does not smoke, does not use drugs, and preferably does not drink alcohol. Previous experience with babysitting or children is highly appreciated.
In the past, I hosted many beautiful people from all around the world through Workaway, and I was also a workawayer myself many years ago. One of my first experiences was working in the home of one of the founders of Workaway. These experiences truly changed my life and my way of seeing the world.
I believe this kind of human connection and exchange can open minds and create a better world — outside of the systems that often try to control the way we live and think.
I consider myself a creative and independent person, maybe a little rebellious inside, but with a practical and intelligent approach to life. I always try to organize things with positivity, creativity and mutual respect.
I’m passionate about microbiology applied to restoration, biofuels, and clean energy production. Two years ago, my son and I even built a small prototype that produced free fuel from water 🙃🫢🎉. I also love chemistry, philosophy, art and alternative ways of thinking.
