    A period house set out on rolling hills a surrounded by the river Liffey and also boasts its own impressive Waterfall. We straddle beautiful West Wicklow and Kildare border and 40mins from Dublin city. The house was originally built as a hotel for guests visiting the waterfall during Victorian times. We are a family of six and have lots of animals. There are lots of farm tasks, fencing, painting, weeding, and general maintenance help. We love to travel and experience life to the full. We love cooking and eating great food and having fun. If you would like to come and stay with us we can show you what the area has to offer and welcome you into our home and family. We love enthusiastic and fun loving people who go with the flow. If you think you would like to come and stay please get in touch we would love to have you over ✨🤗👍

    We have purchased a very historic house steeped in history and geographic interest. There is a huge local interest in the house and the restoration project with lots of opportunities to learn from a wide selection of people and try different activities in the area. We are based in a very beautiful area of Ireland surrounded by lakes and the Wicklow Mountains and very close to Kildare and Dublin. As a family we are very positive and give a lot back to people and always willing to help. We love to help people get the best out of their workaway experience and live a very chilled out outdoor lifestyle.

    Help

    Day to day life involves help with house chores, food preparation, occasionally child minding.

    Gardening: We have lots of paths to be cleared of overgrowth. Always beds to be weeded and general tidy ups.

    Animals: we have several ponies to be schooled and cared for. Two pigs that need feeding and watering and the occasional bed change. Three family dogs love walks around the farm and swims in the lake.

    General Maintenance: with the size of our small holding and home we always have unskilled jobs for workawayers that just want to have some satisfying tasks in a beautiful area.

    We have an independent own door room with bunk beds, en-suite and kitchenette for breakfast and snack preparation but main meals, lunch and dinner will be provided from the main house.

    We love cooking including vegetarian meals and provide home cooked meals and snacks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also welcome workawayers to cook their favorite meals while enjoying their stay.

    Local area is Hollywood and Blessingtion. Bus transportation is available. If you like hiking this is the perfect place! Dublin city is 40mins away.
