Description
I am a single mom with 2 sons aged 22, 20. We live in a bungalow in a small town in rural Alberta, but we are close to the city of Calgary and the Rocky Mountains. I work from home, I homeschooled my 2 youngest sons, who are now living on their own. We love to travel, I have taken my sons to India, Europe, Mexico, Guatamala, and the United States. We have a large yard and are planting a garden this year. My oldest son and myself enjoy gardening. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their travel stories. We can offer the experience of living in a small town, but we also visit my sisters in the city of Calgary where there are many tourist attractions. If time permits there may also be opportunities to visit Banff National Park and many other scenic wonders.

The closest international airport is 45 minutes away in the city of Calgary and it will be no problem to pick up volunteers. The Greyhound bus service can be used to access the rest of our beautiful country.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. I have rarely felt so at home and have always been supported with my ideas. Romana was our first experience with workaway. We could not have had a better experience. She helped out wherever needed, and became a part of the family.
