    Description

Houssitting needed from 19 december until end of februari. We teach you how to milk in the week before we leave.

Housesitting required and taking care of dogs, cat, rabbit, guinneapigs and 2 goats including milking 1 goat every day.

Hi, we are a Dutch family of 4 living in the hills of Transilvania Romania consisting of Henri (40), Erika (39), Tammy (11) and Elvyke (8). We homeschool our kids and live a natural lifestyle with our own watersource, food from our garden, extremely low electricity consume and a lot of joy in nature.

We came here in september 2021 and have a lot of things to do such as tree planting, harvesting fruit, gardening and preparing food for the winter, chopping wood from the forest, constructing a stable for the future animals. On a homestead like ours there is always something to do and that makes it all the more fun.

We own 2 houses with in total 5 hectares of land. There are a lof of fruittrees and there is meadow and forest. We fell in love with our place because there is silence which is something we longed for for a very long time when we lived in Holland. We can walk on our land and in its surroundings for hours without seeing a single person and without hearing technical noices. We only hear foxes, owls and a lot of birds and that's what makes our place so special to us.

We are especially open for people who can give us a helping hand with the construction projects that we have to do. You don't need to have experience for that.
Further we are very open for people who can teach us yoga or dancing and maybe some music for the children. We have a guitar, lyre and keyboard.
You can either stay in the yurt or in your own tent or campervan.
We are looking forward to meet you!

While being with us you will stay in nature and feel nourished by the silence and purity of nature itself. In the forests you can hike as often and as far as you want to. There is a cave where you can hike towards.
While being with us you will learn and see how a family lives on the land and how we deal with the things that need to be done in order to live an autonomous and therefore free life.

We need helping hands with several things that need to be done on the homestead.
Cutting grass with a machine, drying it to hay and then putting it on big heaps.
Construction projects to build a stable for animals, a small cabin for visitors to stay in, a construction for hay to be put in, finishing our shed from the outside.
Harvesting food from the garden en fruits from the trees and bushes and preparing that for wintertime.
If you know yoga and have experience with that we would love to do that with you and follow your lead.
If you know dancing and have experience with that we would love to do that with you and follow your lead in that as a family.
If you know how to play music with a guitar, lyre or keyboard we would love it when you could explain some things about that to the children.
