    Description

This is a Fair Trade Project working with wayuu Indigenous artisans in La Guajira Colombia in a intercultural project.
This is a place for travelers who want to learn more about fair trade practices in an authentic experience and to know more about this experience supporting local artisans through women empowerment, Training for work, Guarantee of rights, commercial transparence, and humanity.

Our office is in Riohacha, Guajira. In this moment We have a lot of work introducing fair trade concept and practices in our country, and we are creating a new line of handicrafts in a innovation project. We have a lot of administrative work in the office, so we need help in the inventory (stock), developing and managing our webpage (e-commerce), taking photos, writing articles and reports, managing social media channels.

We´re also creating a new project about cultural responsible tourism and we are managing our Bed & Breakfast, heart of the operation of the project. In the place we are also building a FairTrade & Coffe Shop to impulse the experience.

We are a family at service of the community, Paula is a colombian journalist, mother and social entrepreneurship who began with this project six years ago.

We live as a family with Paula's daugther, 3 cats, a beautiful dog, all our visitors, and local artisans who visit and work at the place.

The volunteer must understand that this project is the fruit of years of work and sacrifice by its founder and fsmily, to the benefit of the Wayuu weavers, following the concept of Fair Trade.

Thus, it is essential for the Foundation to be able to decide on the PROFILES that are needed, at a given moment to follow the development of the project. We would like you to answer some questions when you apply and if we think you are a good fit, then we will date an appointment by skype to deepen the level of interest and if you really understand the project well. If you are satisfied, the next step would be to send you the Volunteer Guide and Conditions of participation.

    You are welcome!
