Description
We are a family of six; two parents who love to travel and who love people, ánd four children with ages 10, 14, 14 and 16. Our household and everything connected to it is the work we offer you :-) We live in Hoogeveen, it's in the North-Eastern part of The Netherlands, not too far from the German border. We are a nice family that could get some help with all kinds of 'projects' at home, especially (healthy) cooking and cleaning. We love to have (foreign) guests, so the social aspect is also important to us.

You will 'infiltrate' in our family life. You will learn all about it, all kinds of social and cultural aspects. You can learn to speak Dutch too! Most of our family members (sisters, parents, etc.) live in Hoogeveen too, so you will probably meet them, it's a social family :-)

Help
First of all: We love to have guests (an extra 'family member') from all around the world (we are longtime members of international hosting sites). Next to that we have a 6 person household, that means we have 4 children. Because of our house full of all kinds of (of course lovely haha) characters we always need extra time besides the 24 hours a day we have! So many things to do. So, next to the social aspect we like about this, we would like to have some help in our household... especially cooking, cleaning and garden work. Of course it would be a plus if the workawayer has a good connection with kids (talking, playing, etc.). We like them to get to know other cultures and that they learn from people from all around the world, including their habits.

Accommodation
We have a house in a 'small' city (50.000 inhabitants), nearby lots of small villages with beautiful nature and good cycling paths. The room at the attic will be yours. It's nice and comfortable, with a twinbed, couch and a desk.
What else ...
When you have time off you can do all kinds of things. The Netherlands is a flat country, easy to travel in all kinds of ways.. The nature is beautiful, especially when you ride a bike (perfect in The Netherlands). From Hoogeveen it's easy to travel to any place in The Netherlands. Good roads, cycle paths, trains, busses, etc. And of course we will help you with planning and arranging stuff. We love to help!
