  Description

  My name is Levi, and i manage a small hotel in Playa Negra, close to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. I enjoy meeting people from different countries and creating a welcoming experience where everyone feels like part of the team.
  
  Our project is focused on improving and maintaining the property while giving guests a enjoyable place to stay. We have private apartments, a shared swimming pool and outdoor spaces surrounded by nature.
  
  We currently employ three local paid staff members. Our property manager takes care of the daily operations and supports guests, our cleaner is responsible for preparing and cleaning the rooms, and our maintenance worker handles repairs and general repairs of the property.
  
  Workawayers do not replace our paid staff. They support us with additional agreed tasks and small improvement projects while experiencing life in Puerto Viejo and becoming part of our team.
  
  During free time, Playa Negra beach is nearby to enjoy, explore Puerto Viejo, try Caribbean food, visit local markets and more.

  I want every Workawayer who stays with us to feel welcomed and become part of our small team, not just someone who comes to help. I will personally welcome you, show you around, explain everything and check in regularly to make sure you feel comfortable.
  
  You will have the chance to experience to meet local people, practice Spanish and learn about the culture, food and relaxed lifestyle of Puerto Viejo. I can also share what I have learned about hospitality, managing a property, social media and content creation.
  
  I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world, hearing their stories and learning about their cultures. I’m always open to new ideas, so I hope we can learn from each other, spend some time together and make the experience feel more like joining a small community than simply completing a work exchange.

  We provide each Workawayer with a weekly food stipend of $25 to help cover basic groceries. Workawayers prepare their own meals in their private fully equipped kitchenette which includes a refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils, plates, glasses and other kitchen essentials.
