    Description

    Dear Fellow Traveller,

We are a warm and welcoming family of four living in Richmond, London — one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of the city. Our family includes my husband Sohrab, a filmmaker and marketer, myself, a law student, and our two young children aged 4 and 3.

Our home is ideally located: just a 5-minute walk to the River Thames, a 5-minute drive to the stunning Richmond Park, and only a 2-minute walk to bus stops, shops, and all essentials for daily life. Richmond offers a perfect balance of nature and city living, with easy access to central London.

We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, and genuinely interested in becoming part of our family life. A minimum stay of two months is required, and we especially value someone who can commit for longer, as consistency is very important for our children and household rhythm.

The main help we need is support with daily life:

Helping keep the house clean, organised, and running smoothly

Supporting my husband with the children on the days I am at university
(currently two half days of around 4 hours, and one full day per week)

Our aim is not perfection, but teamwork — helping me grow as both a mother and a student while maintaining a calm, supportive home environment.

In exchange, we will host you as part of our family. While we do not have a separate guest bedroom, our home is a two-floor maisonette. The living room and kitchen are downstairs, and the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. We can agree on set times when the living room becomes your private space, with a comfortable and easy-to-use sofa bed, allowing you privacy and rest.

All food is provided, and we are happy to help you plan your free time so you can explore London, enjoy the local area, and pursue your own interests. With good communication and planning, you will have plenty of personal time alongside family life.

We treat everyone who stays with us with respect, care, and kindness — just as we have done with our previous guests, many of whom have become lifelong friends.

If you are looking for a longer-term Workaway experience in a loving, respectful household, we would be very happy to hear from you.

    Warm wishes,
    Nas & Family

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us offers a genuine cultural exchange based on family life, respect, and shared experience.

    Here’s what you can gain:

    1. Family & Cultural Life

You will experience everyday life in a British-Persian household, learning how we balance culture, parenting, study, and creative work. We value openness, kindness, and communication.

    2. Creative & Professional Insight

My husband works as a filmmaker and marketer, and I am currently studying law. If you are interested in creative industries, storytelling, marketing, or academic life, we are happy to share insights, experiences, and advice.

    3. Life in London

Living in Richmond gives you the chance to enjoy nature, calm surroundings, and at the same time explore one of the most exciting cities in the world. With good planning, you’ll have plenty of time to explore London, museums, parks, and cultural events.

    4. Respectful & Supportive Environment

We host our guests as part of the family. You will be treated with respect, care, and understanding, just as we have treated all our previous Workawayers — many of whom are now lifelong friends.

We believe cultural exchange works best when both sides feel valued, supported, and at home.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for help with everyday household tasks and childcare support. This includes keeping the home clean and organised, and helping with the children when I need to be at university, studying, working on assignments, or sitting exams. The help required is part of our normal daily routine and will be planned in advance as much as possible. In return, we would provide a regular weekly or monthly payment as pocket money to help cover basic personal needs. The exact amount would be discussed and agreed together in advance and would be set in line with current UK regulations for au pair arrangements, including national minimum wage and visa requirements.
