A man in a white hoodie and cap stands outside a rustic wooden barn, smiling and waving, surrounded by autumn leaves on a cloudy day.
A serene landscape at sunset features a vast grassy field, distant clusters of trees, snow-capped mountains on the horizon, and a sky painted in soft pastel hues.
A small pond reflects sunlight and reeds in the foreground. Behind it, a rustic wooden cabin stands, surrounded by trees and shrubs under a clear blue sky.
This image shows a cozy, empty attic room with wooden floors, walls, and ceiling. Sunlight streams through three open windows, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Inside a greenhouse, lush vegetable and flower beds line both sides. Gardening tools, two pink watering cans, and a small shelf unit are visible. Bright, thriving plants.

    Description

    Dear lovely Workawayer :)

We’re Paul and Alina, both 28, and we’re in the exciting process of building our very own little creative old farm (no active farming) in the beautiful Allgäu, Bavaria.
We’ve long dreamed of creating a place where our vision comes to life – a special spot for creativity, nature, and connection – and now we’re making it happen step by step.

Although we just moved here in December and not everything is 100% in place yet (some cupboards are still searching for their new homes ;)), we’re enjoying settling into this new chapter.
Before moving here, we’ve always been curious travelers and lived just about 2 hours away, so we know the area well and love sharing beautiful spots and hidden local gems with you.

    About Our Old Farm:
Our old farm (no active farming) is full of possibilities:
    • Huge garden & natural swimming pond
    • Barn & greenhouse
    • Tiny House
    • Creative spaces waiting to come alive

It’s a place to explore creativity, try hands-on projects, and be part of shaping something meaningful together.
Our vision is to create a private space that brings joy – a place for creativity, connection, and small, non-commercial gatherings with friends.

    Where you’ll live:
We live on the outskirts of a small village surrounded by nature, without direct bus access. The nearest village with a supermarket, bakery, and restaurants is about 2 km away.
Mountains are visible right from our doorstep, and many beautiful hiking areas can be reached within 30 minutes. A bicycle is available, and using our car can be arranged in advance.
You’ll have your own room, and we share bathrooms.

    About us:
    • Paul’s cooking is legendary – fresh and delicious every day (brace yourself!)
    • Alina works from home and focuses on the projects in the afternoons
    • Every two weeks, Alina goes line dancing in Munich – you’re very welcome to join and maybe combine it with a city stroll or cozy coffee break
    • We are cheerful, open-minded, and enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences
    • No kids, no pets (except a few fish in our pond)

Alina has been a Workawayer herself and truly loves the idea of cultural exchange – discovering new places, living with locals, and sharing everyday life. These experiences create lasting memories, and that’s exactly what we’d love to share with you.

We bring experience in hands-on DIY projects, gardening, interior design, and development, and we enjoy learning new skills together with Workawayers. We would also love to help you practice German, and at the same time improve and deepen our English together through daily conversation.

Current projects you can join (besides cultural exchange, shared time together and your wonderful company):
We’re currently working on a few light and creative projects, and you’re welcome to join us wherever it feels right for you:
    • Planting flower meadows & raised beds
    • Light gardening tasks & greenhouse care
    • Small, creative DIY wood projects in the barn (no professional construction work)
    • Tiny House decorating (fun, creative decorating, furnishing & making it cozy together with us)
    • Helping us plan and create a cozy indoor space

We always work together and will find tasks that match your interests, where you can enjoy the process, learn something new, and have fun along the way.

    Why join us?:
    • Cultural exchange & new perspectives
    • Inspiring conversations & shared creativity
    • Hands-on experience in gardening and creative projects
    • Explore the magical fairytale Allgäu and lovely Bavaria

    Nearby highlights:
    • Neuschwanstein Castle
    • Hopfensee & Forggensee and many other beautiful lakes
    • Cities like Füssen, Kempten, and Munich
    • Tirol & Tannheimer Valley

    Important note:
We do not host paying guests or commercial events that require help from Workawayers. All activities are part of our private home and based on cultural exchange and shared learning.
We do not intend to replace any local paid professionals with volunteers. For larger or professional renovation work, we will always hire local tradespeople. Workawayers will only support us with light, creative tasks that we do together.

We warmly invite you to join us in this little corner of Allgäu, to share your creativity, ideas, and stories. Living, working, and laughing together, we can inspire each other and create a place full of joy, connection, and meaningful moments.

We’re so excited to hear from yoooou.
    Servus :)
