Description
Dear Workawayers,
We are a family of two living in beautiful Co. Limerick, Ireland. That is, me, Grace & my son aged 17 years, plus dog, Jonah & cat, Tibby & some geese. We live in a renovated farmhouse on a 1.5 acre property set in rich agricultural countryside.
We hosted Workaway volunteers in 2015 & it was a great experience & have hosted occasional volunteers since, which was always worthwhile.
My interests include: growing food; wholefood cooking - I can cater for all diets; hiking - (the Galtee mountains are nearby); yoga; going to the sea, (a 2 hour drive); I was previously a Scout leader in our local group; & people & life in general. My son Peter does boxing & enjoys the gym, cooking, woodwork & computer games. He is interested in science & engineering. I work as a nurse in Limerick, covering 3 long days each week. Peter is in secondary school.
In the Spring/ Summer/Autumn we need help with the vegetable garden, weeding, mowing grass & light outdoor maintenance, such as tidying the sheds, painting, cleaning windows & preparing firewood for the winter.
I would love to host someone who would enjoy living in the Irish countryside & has an interest in organic gardening & respect for the environment. As a volunteer you would have your own comfortable bedroom & I will provide your meals. I expect you to help 25 hours per week. Help arrangements can be flexible, as long as we are both happy & you would have free time to travel if you wish.Types of help and learning opportunities

As a volunteer you would have your own comfortable bedroom, or a spacious area for your camper van. I will provide your meals.
I hope you will enjoy sharing our home & family life & our beautiful area. You will have plenty time & space to relax. I am happy to help you plan any trips you want to do in Ireland & of course to help you with your English if needed.Help
