    Description

Our homestead overlooks a lake on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Our land adjoins a 200 acre old growth forest with kilometres of walking trails. We have 4 children, a family milk cow, 26 chickens, a few ducks, pigs, bees and barn cats! We enjoy growing and storing our own food, foraging, hiking, swimming and being outside.

We hope to show you the land here as well as surrounding our place. We have a lovely community and enjoy community projects and helping out neighbours. We would love to share knowledge on seed collecting, stratification, storing and starting different types of edible plant seeds and native plants. Also, how to identify and propagate plants from cuttings-hardwood, softwood and root cuttings. How to turn one plant into many! Happy to share what we have learned about keeping animals as well!
