  • Description

As my youngest daughter is about to move out, she would love some support with packing and decluttering her room. If you are available right now, then come! It will be fun to be with us during this vibrant period of change.

We have a lovely room for you, which is overlooking the Astrological garden and pond. We have welcomed over 80 workawayers over the years, have a look at the feedback.

By coming to stay with us in Forest Row, East Sussex, you will discover a gem of an old English village, with people from all over the world, organic & biodynamic shops, Yoga places galore, an inn from 1452 and the beautiful Ashdown Forest for long walks & famous for the Winnie the Pooh stories.....all on your doorstep.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Mieke & Nicky

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    - You'll adore our village (Forest Row) if you're interested in or want to learn about: yoga, healthy living, eco living, biodynamics, forest walks/cycles, Steiner/Waldorf education, dance, films, a pub from 1452, etc.
    - The village lies on the edge of Ashdown Forest and you can enjoy walks there straight from the house
    - The train to London takes 50 minutes from the next town (East Grinstead)
    - There are busses to Brighton, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells

Main project: Help with packing for moving and making the room (ones it's empty) look beautiful again.

    Longer term projects:
Spring clean (the house is in good shape, but just needs a little 'after-winter' loving cleaning)
Sanding the kitchen table on a warm spring morning outside.
Sanding the floors in the kitchen and hall.
Pruning the Edible Hedge & general loving maintenance of the garden.
Repair of the hand-made circular garden bench.
    Keeping the pond clean.
Caring for the medicinal herbs and cook or make teas if you like
(From August) harvest the fruits, medicinal herbs, berries. Making jams, chutneys, drying the herbs for teas.
Enjoy a cup of tea in the sun between the roses on the edge of the little waterfall and listen to the humming of the bees

Gatwick airport is the nearest airport, most times I can pick you up from there. If not, then a taxi costs around £20 to get to our village and takes 30 minutes only.
