  Description

  Hello, we are a family of four, living with horses, cats, chicken and ducks in an old farmhouse in northern Germany which we refurbished into a cosy home with a beautiful garden, including permaculture elements. Our place is located between several nature reserves in an area with a lot of lakes and the baltic sea is not far. We run a small sustainable bed and breakfast here which keeps us pretty busy and sometimes makes it hard for us to find enough time for other things. This is why we are looking for someone who would like to help us in the garden and to take care of animals.
  Also, we cannot travel a lot anymore, due to the animals who need to be taken care of daily. With Workaway, we hope to welcome people from all around the globe here at our place instead, to benefit from cultural exchange, especially for our children (12 and 22 y/o).

  We are happy to share our knowledge and experience about organic gardening and animal keeping. Especially when it comes to the horses, our approach is not to use them, but to live with them in a relationship of mutual respect and friendship. You can learn a lot about yourself from these animals when interacting with them on a daily basis.
  We consider ourselves to be still learning, so we invite you to learn together with us.

  Help

  We are looking for light help with our animals and in the garden. You don't need specific skills or experience because most of the work is done together as teamwork, so motivation, an open mindset and a good spirit is more important for us.
  You won't be involved to help us with paying guests or in spaces used by them - we're only expecting help within our personal home, garden and stable.

  Accommodation

  You will stay in one of our guest rooms (see picture). You'll have an own bathroom with shower (tiny but sweet). You are invited to join us at our family table for up to three meals a day - always organic and mostly vegetarian or vegan (sustainability is very important for us). There is also the possibility to use our kitchen to cook your own meals if you prefer, or even to cook for the whole family.
