Description
My name is Matt, born in Germany 63 years ago, but not living there for over 35 years. I have lived in Thailand, Egypt, Honduras, Mexico, Italy and now Spain. I have been traveling the world extensivly on public transport, by motorcycle, my Van and by sailboat. I have settlled now in Andalucia, southern Spain and bought an older campo house with property that has been renovated. The off grid house and property is located in a small village called Pago de Humo, some 7km to Chiclana de la Frontera, 15km to Conil de la Frontera and 8km to the beach. Tarifa is 70km to the south and Cadiz 40km to the north. The rural campo area I live in is very quiet, somewhat isolated, but there is a local Venta / Restaurant nearby.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Living a small town rural off grid campo life style in southern Spain. I can explain in detail how I set up my off grid life style to be used as a future reference or to be copied for your own future projects. As I am fluent in Spanish, English and German you can practice with me your language skills. As a hobby I am working on my older motorcycles and cars so I can teach basic mechanic and maintenance skills. I have plenty of tools so if you come with your own Van, car or motorcycle we can do maintenance and basic repairs on it.

Help
Helping and learning about life in the "Campo" in southern Andalucia. Its an "off grid" life style relying on solar power for electricity, collecting rain and a well for water. It is a basic rural life style many Spaniards use for the production of local fruits and produce, keeping farm animals as well as a summer vacation home.

Accommodation
You can either stay in your Van - Camper, or my on site Van (in the images) currently set up with one pax bed. I will keep the fridge stocked so you can cook independent, or we cook together. Vegetarians or Vegan´s are no problem to accomodate. Let me know what your preferences in food are and I do the shopping accordingly. There is a outside kitchen as well on the house terrace you can use. I have a two pax tent as well that can be set up next or away from my Van.

What else ...
I am not as fast anymore as I used to be, can do a lot of things but doe need a hand or two. A Siesta for me is a must as it gets to hot in tne middle of the day. Not sure how we solve the transport issue as I live somewhat remote if you want to get around but there is a local bus a few times a day where you can get into Chiclana and from there to Tarifa or Cadiz. If you have a Camper or Camper Van my property is large enough that you can easily stay on it.

Can possibly accept pets
Dogs and cats are fine. The neighbors do have dogs. Would be nice if your dog does not go crazy. There are as well some stray cats passing the property a couple of times a day.
