Viviana is my name. I am from Rome, painter and engaged in social work overseas. I have been living most of my life in Africa, middle East and Far East. I am very interested in other cultures and I have a multicultural background in my studies and work. My home, since a very long time, my nest, where I always go back, is in Monte Castello di Vibio, Umbria.

This region is very reach with natural parks and three lakes are quite near. There are many cultural events in Monte Castello di Vibio and in the region . I can teach Italian and art during the period of overlapping. Many important art sites are all around; one can visit Giotto frescos and Piero della Francesca ( among many other artists) paintings in the near by cities, churches and basilics; Etruscan and Roman archeological sites are also present in the region. Umbria is called " the green heart of Italy, natural reserves and parks and gardens are plenty . The very delicious umbruan cousin and food products are well known. The house sitters can benefit of a language school in Monte Castello and in Todi, International art school, music concerts and Umbria Jezz festival. All the cities in Umbria are old heritage of the italian architecture from the 9th centuries and berfore onward.

Help
a long stay house sitting , taking care of garden and house. This involves a number of activities, like cutting the grass with a streamer and keeping the house clean and do minor maintanence . The time can be arranged as the house sitters will deice rispecting the indication for the different season wich I will suggest.
The house sitters can do short and intersting trips around . At the beginning we might have some time of overlapping during which we can work toghether.

Accommodation
the volunteers will stay in a cousy 100 square meter independent part of the house , very private with indipendent kitchen and bathroom where none of my belongings are; there it is possible to enjoy a quite atmosphere, not any noice and a beautiful view on the Umbrian valley. The house is located 700 meters from the small town, Monte Castello di Vibio where there are post office, 3 groucery shops, 1 bar,3 restorants , international art schooll, ceramic workshops and the smallest theatre of the world.
What else ...
The village that is located 700 meters from the house offers music and cultural events and evening entertainment. In the proximity there is the Parco naturale del Tevere and natural, wild parks good for hiking and lakes and the Teber river good also for canoeing. About transport there is a train and buses at 8 Km from the house to reach major cities ( Rome, Napels, Pompei, Perugia, Assisi and Florence and the airport sof Rome and Perugia). Furthermore there are local buses 200 meters from the house to travel in region of Umbria. The location is quite near to the beautiful wild park of Monte Peglia. No real need to have a car, althought it is always better to be indipendent .
