Description
Looking for a true adventure? Look no further.
Come and help out at BC's nicest wilderness recreation facility! We were originally built as a seven home, $10M estate for the private use of friends and family. The kids are all grown now so we are now a five star boutique facility that hosts 12 guests per week. Our location is at Chilko Lake, which is the largest alpine lake in North America. Fifty miles long, 1,100 feet deep, it is ringed by mountains and glaciers. We are next door to a 5M acre pristine wilderness tract that allows for endless outdoor activities.
Work centers around hosting guests and maintaining the facility. Applicants must be of good character and heart, and have a can-do attitude. These are the most important qualifications sought. We are off the grid and 200 miles to a grocery store, so it is important that volunteers are easy-going and work well with other people. Our signature products are great hospitality and good karma.
Payment is equal to BC's minimum wage which at this time is $16.75 hour.Types of help and learning opportunities
