Description
Hey folks, we are living in the beautiful area of la Alpujarra, close to the vibrant village Orgiva in the countryside. We fell in love with this place more than 4 years ago due to its high and rough mountains, the rivers, the diverse and active community - as you won't find it somewhere else in Spain, 320 days of sun per year and off-grid Charme.
Our finca is located 5 minutes by bike close to Orgiva, with it's 3500m² , 70 olive trees, 15 fruit trees, two yurts, one bell tent and one cat everything we as a family could wish for. Lea (33) trained as birth keeper, working as voice actress, loves to sing, move (especially yoga and flamenco) and create.
David (36) loves to plant, harvest, dream big and build.
Adda (20 months) loves to explore, talk and play.
Schmusi - the cat- (3ish) loves to sleep, climb and go nuts.Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Help around the house
General Maintenance
UN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are not a multicultural family but there is "multi culture" around. Orgiva is a town where all nationalities and interests are coming together, from ecstatic dance and yoga retreats to open mic and artisan markets, belly dance and halal butchers.
Help
We would love for you to find your place here on our finca as it is an old Spanish term for "a place for one feels safe, a place where one feels at home". There is always something to do. It's a big playground for you to explore, play and create. If you want to.
Right now we are building a wooden 25m² kitchen house, slowly building a syntropic food forest, gardening, building a stone era and all the little things in between. You are welcome to choose for yourself in wich Projects and how you wanna get involved
Depending on your skills, needs and excitement. We are also learning day by day how to do things - we were not born as olive farmers or carpenters but it's fun to learn together. You are welcome to join 😉Languages
