Are you in Mexico now? Would you be traveling by Air, bus, or private vehicle?

UPDATE: Due to the coronavirus we are only accepting participants who can be here long term for a month at least. We are not open to short term travelers.
We are closed, so participants cannot come and go from the site or they would break quarantine. Of course, people can leave completely if they wish.

We are only accepting participant who can directly impact the economic survival of our community via supporting our crowdfunding or other efforts. We have videos to make, so people good in front of or behind the camera are useful. :)

A permaculture farm and art space located in a forest near Erongaricauro, Michoacán, México.

Dedicated to biodiversity, sustainability, home-scale and large-scale permaculture techniques, food forest gardening, art, and community living.

We began in 2004 on 83 acres of pine, oak, and madrone forest. We are off the electrical grid using no outside power. Our water is from rain catchment. We use wood stoves for cooking and have eight cabanas, huts, an art studio, and six composting toilets. Wood fired sauna. Solar ovens. Food dehydrator. There are 5 friendly dogs here, one cat, and about 20 chickens. Lots of wildlife. Fires at night. Circus toys. Lots to do for work and play.

Activities can include plant propagation, video production, cooking, general maintenance, seed collection, garden preparation, trail maintenance, eco-construction and more.

Special roles include; Working with Brian Fey on research, writing, and translation. graphic arts, event management, community projects, fundraising, and more.

We do experiments with food science, alternative agriculture, and lifestyle design. We video our work and publish it on social networks such as YouTube and Quora. We need people with a lot of creativity and flexibility.

Basic healthy food is included: Vegetarians and vegans are welcome. There are fresh eggs from the chickens.
When there are few people, you will cook for yourselves. When there are many people someone will be assigned to the role.

We rise with the sun. Punctuality is required. Though it is in our interests to have longer term participants, we agree to one week as a trial period. If you are coming from far away and would like a longer stay, we can arrange an online video interview with Brian after your application is received.

Fluency in English or Spanish is required. Bilingual preferred. Gay friendly. No drugs. No smoking. Moderate alcohol consumption is fine.

There is plenty of space for campers. A large motorhome would have trouble getting here on the dirt road, but smaller ones could do it.
