I live with my husband Derek on a small hobby farm on the edge of Ngaruawahia village, near Hamilton. Derek commutes to work in the city and I work from home.
The farm consists of chickens, 2 dogs and a cat. We also grow fruit, nuts and vegetables. We like to try out different ways of sustainable farming and sustainable living in general.
We are centrally located one hour south of Auckland international airport, 30 minutes from West Coast Beaches and five minutes from the village of Ngaruawahia. The Hakarimata Scenic Reserve and walking track is a special area within an easy drive (the road is currently under construction so very difficult to walk).
