Are you looking for an authentic Canadian Experience?
Have you been looking for a place that has log cabins, towering mountains, fresh streams and clear lakes?
Are you sick of staying with hosts that have lousy accommodation and nothing interesting to do on your time off?
Do you want a chance to do REAL Canadian activities like canoeing, catching fish, swinging an axe and climbing mountains?
Then come stay with us!
This is the secret place where CANADIANS come to experience Canada, so you know that it won't get any better than this.
We are a holiday resort in the North Okanagan area of B.C. Canada, bordering Echo Lake Provincial Park. This area has many lakes, hiking trails and is the perfect area for the outdoorsy type.
Our small resort is family oriented with just 7 cabins situated around a private natural lake. We like to have weekly fireside cookouts with our guests in the summer months and will sometimes also take them on river floating trips.
The Okanagan region of BC is where Canadians come to vacation because of it's amazing weather. Canoeing, Kayaking, Hiking, Swimming, and Fishing are all popular sports here in our area.
We, Kim and Harald, have been the the owners/operators of our Nature Resort for the past 23 years. Harald is of German heritage, grew up in Africa, but immigrated to Canada 37 years ago. Kim is originally from Oregon, USA, but has lived in Canada for the past 32 years and helps many of the exchange workers with improving their English.

Spring & Summer 2019
Currently looking for a helper to cover Aug. 19 - Sept. 3
In summer, most helpers will help with cabin cleaning, cleaning and maintenance of resort area and trails, gardening and/or landscaping, and general maintenance. We do not need help with childcare or office work. We prefer helpers wanting to stay at least 2 weeks in the Spring/Fall and 1 to 2 months in July and August (2 months is better). Also prefer girls or a couple in July and August who will share their accommodation. Other months it does not matter as much. During their time off, our helpers are able to use the canoes or kayaks, swim in the lake (which is usually a daily ritual here in the summer months), go for hikes, use the bikes and can often get rides into town. We often take our helpers with us to the larger cities on shopping days.
English, German, Afrikaans,
In the summer months, helpers stay in a 30 ft. travel trailer (caravan) or a sleeping loft suite (new for 2018) . We usually have no more than 2 - 4 helpers in the Spring and 2 - 3 helpers in July and August. Helpers who stay in the travel trailer or loft have use of the cabin next to the trailer, which includes a private bathroom with shower, laundry facilities, and a small kitchenette. To view our resort and accommodations, please ask us for further information.
