  • Description

This piece of land (55 000m2) was acquired just below a perfectly preserved medieval castle dating back to VI century A.D. in the valley of River Ibar, surrounded by the river, mountains, and stunning nature. There are no neighboring properties, only us, a mountain river, and the medieval castle.

We are a diverse group of friends that came together to create something unique in this part of the Balkans. Together we have traveled the world and lived in such communities in South America, Central, and Southeast Asia, which inspired us to think in this direction.

Our aim is to create a rural international community that is family-friendly, pet-friendly, and above all, eco-friendly, which lives off the land and supports local communities. We are developing a cultural center, bar-restaurant, organic veggie garden, campsite, open-air cinema, and secluded summer party area that can facilitate a music festival, as well as co-living program with sleeping units in the following years.

Our plan is in the first phase.

    1. Old stone hut renovation and setup of the summer campsite/party area near the river.

*Light renovation on a small stone hut at the foot of the hill
*Organising space for a stage area
*Setting up a camp place, hammock area, beach, fire pit
    *Art decorations
*Making and putting the signs around the property

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You will experience life in an international eco-friendly community, below the most preserved medieval castle in Serbia in the historical heart of the country.

We are working on a unique project in the region with the goal to create a cultural hub with workshops, open-air cinema, campsites, summer parties, and a mini music festival once per year. For people up to learning about the project, we will share our knowledge.

Fresh mountain air, great views, and an untouched creek with natural pools and waterfalls filled with trouts just 100m away going into the river that surrounds the whole property.

Weekly mushroom course available for volunteers in the nearby forest.

You will have a chance to taste all types of Balkan traditional dishes made mainly from local products and learn how to prepare them if you feel like cooking.

  • Help

At the moment, we are just starting a project and people with some experience in building and renovation would come in hand or simply those who possess strong hands and a good spirit willing to help and learn at our project.

    - Creative people who would like to express themselves by having their own little projects from wood, stone, or clay are very welcome on our project.

    - Chief with some knowledge of cooking vegetarian and vegan meals for up to 10 people.

    - Experienced gardener or two with knowledge of permaculture, to grow our organic food, and medicinal herbs, and take care of the land (longer stays desirable).

    - People with fishing skills and experience are welcome as well, we have an abundance of fish, a river, and a mountain creek nearby if you are good at it, come and help us.

To summarise we are looking for carpenters, builders, gardeners, chefs, fishermen, and artistic souls to leave their mark in our first stage planned for this summer.

We work from 7.00 - 12.00 and after that you have your off time. If someone wants afternoon shift is available from 15.00 - 20.00h depending on the project you choose.

Hit us with a message, we are very excited to have you here.

  • Accommodation

In the beginning, while we are renovating the stone barn, there will be two options:

1- We recently established a volunteers base on the spot in a old railway guard station just below the castle. 55m2 with 3 rooms, several beds, 3 solar campshowers, kitchen and a big dining area. A waterfalls is just few meters away if you want to cool off during a day.

2- For those with tents, they can stay on the spot at the campsite for events near the stone barn. Mobile data 10G is up to 5 USD. Yettel prepaid SIM cards. Electricity and drinking water available on the spot.

For Both options there is a restaurant with all types of traditional dishes just across the river.

Nearest shop is 5km away, but if you need anything we can always grab it since we do go to a local town daily.

Natural swimming pools, rivers, pure nature with electricity and water available on spot.

3 meals per day: (vegan and vegetarian options)

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Property is just 20km from the town of Kraljevo, half an hour away by bus available during the whole day if you feel like having a draft beer, meeting some locals, or partying for the weekend.

On the way to town, you can check out the grand XII century monastery, where our 7 Kings were crowned in medieval ages, and it's just 10 min of walking from grandma's house.

For hikers, there is a 3-4 hours trek starting from a property that leads to the peak of the mountain Stolovi where wild horses freely live for decades, as well as a medieval trek up the creek throughout the untouched nature with waterfalls and natural pools.

Lots of natural swimming pools, gorgeous creeks & waterfalls.

Tubing and rafting are available too, and we are loving it.

We tend to work hard and enjoy life in the same manner when a proper opportunity arises.
