    Description

I’m quite new to the area, so part of the experience here is also about discovering the surroundings together — hidden beaches, local markets, walking paths, and nature spots.

This project is born out of love and respect for the Earth, and it is still in its early stages. Its main focus is self-sustainability. Right now, it is in an embryonic phase, just beginning with the permaculture design.

It is a space to respect nature, care for it, and also to be nourished by it — to observe it, learn from it, and live in harmony with it.

It is located in the village of La Riera de Gaià, just 7 km from the coast, with some beautiful beaches nearby to explore and enjoy.

There is a self-sufficient house equipped with solar panels and well-water.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I’m quite new to the area, so part of the experience here is also about discovering the surroundings together — hidden beaches, local markets, walking paths, and nature spots.

The project is just beginning, so it’s a good moment to exchange ideas and inspiration. We can share thoughts about permaculture, biodynamics, sustainable living, or simply enjoy working side by side in nature.

It’s a simple, peaceful space where cultural exchange happens naturally — through daily tasks, shared meals, and open conversations.

    Help

As the project is just starting out, current tasks are simple and flexible: working on a small garden near the house, sharing ideas for the overall design, and preparing another space for a larger vegetable garden. We're also doing small, basic improvements—like building a compost toilet and organizing the house a bit better.

If someone is interested in woodworking, there’s the possibility of making small things like a shelf or a table to help improve the kitchen space for food storage and shared cooking—but nothing big or demanding.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Volunteers will have a private room adjacent to the main house — a comfortable, quiet space to rest and recharge. The room is not inside the main house but right next to it, offering some extra privacy.

If preferred, volunteers are also welcome to camp nearby to have their own independent space.

As the project is still in its early stages, most of the food still comes from outside the land, but we aim to provide mainly organic ingredients. We will provide all the ingredients for the meals . Meals will be a shared responsibility — we’ll cook and organize together, creating a simple and communal kitchen dynamic. It’s a lovely way to connect and exchange through food.
