    Description

On the road to finding a home? Would you like to explore what that might look like? We have lived more than 20 years in gratitude and harmony in a beautiful ecosystem, home-makers on an organic farm that touches sea and jungle in Mexico. Home means different things. For us it is a place of belonging and engaging with what is important to us. Everyone makes for themselves a home of sorts. Here's a chance to see how we have devoted our time and energy to making a home by growing food, caring for soil, and water, plants and animals, and in general, in service to the land that in turn gives us a home. We invite you to be curious, to try on our home for yourself if home is something you value. Can you be of service too, to help around the house and with community projects? If so, we invite you to share mutual growth and support for living gently on the earth with consciousness for a better world. Wally is a master mechanic, inventor and electronic wizard. Amaranth is an artist, a children's teacher of ecology, a practitioner of the Enneagram, Homeopathy and a founder and volunteer for a monthly sterilization clinic for dogs and cats. We are committed to the community here, founders and supporters of the Winter farmer's market , the cultural center and the animal project. If this type of life resonates with you, let's get to know each other...

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

It's up to you! One can learn a variety of skills and gain experiential knowledge while learning about yourself and what it takes to live harmoniously in service with other creatures.

The farm and clinic is a 5-7 minute walk to anything you might need in a small fishing village.

There are many things to enjoy here: beach, seafood, hiking in the mountains, bird watching, and more.

    Help

We're looking for someone who will help around the house, not hard work, but done with attention and gladness. Someone permanent or part-time who will lend themselves to the home, farm and community work . That may include helping in the cultural center and farmers market (Nov-Mar only), teaching classes, and monthly sterilization clinics for cats and dogs.

The best way to our farm is via our state capital Tepic, Nayarit by bus or if flying the closest airport is Puerto Vallarta 100 miles south of us. Our farm is on the edge of wildness so be the kind of person who can live with snakes, iguanas, scorpions and insects. Frankly, we rarely have encounters of the wild kind since we are also a refuge for dogs, but we want to give a full and open disclosure. We live on the edge of a jungle! It's very hot in the summer months with rain and storms at night. We adore the wildness and innocence of this place. It is a rare treat for the adventuresome and for those who need natural beauty to feed their soul, It is not suited for those with a high need for social extroversion, though there is an abundance of meaningful, stimulating social interaction. Two other families also live here. It's up to each person to come with the intention to add to the harmony and to find a place in the flow of life here on the farm.
