    Description

(WE ARE CLOSED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
We are an award-winning accommodation located in the southern part of Czech Republic (3 hours from Prague) in the beautiful UNESCO town of Cesky Krumlov. We welcome adults of all ages and offer private doubles, triples and quads with private or shared facilities, or private, self-catering apartments. This is NOT a party place; it's a place where you can sleep and dream. The party is in the town, where musicians and artists clamour the cobblestone streets, day and night. We are looking for enthusiastic, intelligent, English-speaking couples or singles to live-in (you would have your own private room with facilities), help in reception and do light cleaning tasks for a minimum of six weeks.

Most of our volunteers are active artists, and find a way to share their talents in town among other artists, or use their skills to improve something at the hostel itself. If you're friendly, kind, quirky, and flexible, you'll fit right in here.

This little town makes a BIG impression on those who are interested in art, history, and music. SO much happens here, and yet, it's quiet enough to take a moment and breathe. A great place to collect yourself between travels, and a fantastic place to make contacts for your onward jaunts. Learning Czech is difficult, but not impossible. Learn a bit about what it's like to be Bohemian!

Meals can be taken at home or in town at one of the many cheap restaurants. You will stay for free, and be given a generous allowance to pay for the type of food you like. Almost every Workawayer has been able to save money for their next trip after us, and you can expect to do the same.

    What else ...

Volunteers will probably want to visit all the museums /historical sites in the town, or go rafting down the Vltava river, go horseback riding or go hiking in the forests surrounding the town. You may even decide to just try to find the perfect brew pub...this takes a LOT of research. :)
We are very close to Lipno Lake, where you can hire a windsurfer, or practice your butterfly.
Cesky Krumlov is a 40 minute bus ride to the travel hub of Ceske Budejovice, where you can catch a train or bus to all points N, S, E or W. The quickest and most economical way to get to us from Prague is via REGIO bus, (aka: Student Agency bus). It leaves every hour on the hour from the bus station Na Knizeci above the metro station ANDEL in Prague, and costs 200,- CZK. As it's very popular with locals and tourists alike, you should book in advance: jizdenky.studentagency.cz
