    Description

Hello! My name is Mariana. Me and a partner have a small wooden house near Sintra with a garden where we practice permaculture. We are building a collective space called Crivo Coletivo Criativo, dedicated to manual work, craftsmanship, and alternative ways of producing and consuming. The collective is about 2 km from our house and we could use some help in both places! We are located in a rural area, just a 15 minute drive to the beach, 20 minutes from Sintra and 40 minutes from Lisbon. We are open minded people but have no interest in hosting racist, fascist, homophobic, sexist people.

We have been workawayers as well, helping others with their projects and we would now like to host people and offer them what we loved receiving. So expect to be respected, to have creative freedom to do your art but also to learn from us in whatever we have to teach (like Portuguese language, woodworking, permaculture or climbing). We are excited to learn from you as well. Free time is as important as work and we would love to show you around but also to give you space to do your own thing.

Please contact us only if you have real interest in our project. You don’t need to stay long or to be part of it long term but we are looking for a real exchange and to create things together.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We're locals with a passion for exploring alternative ways of living, while staying connected to the community and welcoming new ideas and people into the region. We'd love to share how we live and get to know other people's perspectives. We also like time alone so we don’t expect to spend every minute together but we would love to show you around our favorite spots.

Right now we could use some help making our old warehouse look more fun and beautiful and making the outside space more welcoming. So if you like creating things, art projects, and turning trash into art, we have a spot for you. Video makers and content creators are also welcome as well as artists with their own projects and ideas, tell us about them and we can try to make it work!

    What else ...

Where we live the is a bus line that connects you to Sintra train station in about 30min. From there you can go to Lisbon. You can use our bikes to got to the beach (around 30min). There are nice hikes and bike paths around, although you always need to walk/ ride in the road for a bit and it’s not very pleasant around here :( we are active in trying to make this region more bike friendly but we haven’t had much success yet.

    Bosque

Bosque is a 6 years old rescued dog. He barks in the beginning but he will become your best friend very fast. He is not good dealing with other dogs or cats, so we would try to avoid hosting people with pets (altough if it is a female dog he can get along)
