🌍 Hello dear Workaway volunteers, I am Muhammet Ali. I was born in 1979 and I live in Bolu/Kıbrıscık with my wife and three children. I love spending as much time as possible in our garden, which is located in nature, away from the center but easily accessible. Our garden is about 7 km from the center of Kıbrıscık and is located next to the main road; therefore, it is quite easy to reach by car. When you visit our garden, you will stay in our rural house and I will accompany you throughout the entire process. I enjoy cooking; I am experienced in nature walks, exploration routes and mountain activities. I really enjoy hosting people, showing them around and sharing our culture. I am also active in civil society work; I serve as the President of the Kıbrıscık Sustainable Development Association and the President of the Bolu Branch of the Turkish MS Association. Our garden mainly consists of walnut trees. In addition, we have different fruit trees and grapevines. We plant local seeds and grow vegetables and fruits according to the season. I do not use agricultural pesticides; I nourish the soil naturally, using sheep manure I obtain from the villagers. We have three dogs and many chickens. When the weather permits, our animals are in the garden. In cold weather, they stay at my family's house in the town center. Our daily life begins with taking care of the dogs in the morning, collecting the chickens' eggs, and having breakfast together. We continue with gardening work throughout the day. Volunteers can learn how to use tools for basic farm work such as hoeing and pruning. In the evenings, we eat together and chat around the stove. We are a forest village family and offer a simple, authentic rural life. I don't speak English; however, I don't think this will be a barrier to communication. Ben Muhammet Ali. 1979 doğumluyum ve eşim ile üç çocuğumla birlikte Bolu / Kıbrıscık’ta yaşıyorum. Doğanın içinde, merkezden uzak ama ulaşımı kolay olan Ceviz Bahçesi adlı bahçemizde mümkün olduğunca vakit geçirmeyi seviyorum.
Bahçemiz Kıbrıscık merkeze yaklaşık 7 km mesafede ve ana yolun yanında yer alıyor; bu nedenle araçla ulaşım oldukça kolay. Bahçemizi ziyaret ettiğinizde, kırsal evimizde konaklayacak ve tüm süreç boyunca size ben eşlik edeceğim.
Yemek yapmayı severim; doğa yürüyüşleri, keşif rotaları ve dağ faaliyetleri konusunda deneyimliyim. İnsanları ağırlamayı, gezdirmeyi ve kültürümüzü paylaşmayı gerçekten çok seviyorum. Aynı zamanda sivil toplum çalışmalarında aktifim; Kıbrıscık Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Derneği Başkanı ve Türkiye MS Derneği Bolu Şubesi Başkanı olarak görev yapıyorum.
Bahçemizde ağırlıklı olarak ceviz ağaçları bulunuyor. Bunun yanında farklı meyve ağaçları ve üzüm asmalarımız var. Yerel tohumlar ekiyor, mevsimine göre sebze ve meyve yetiştiriyoruz. Tarım zehri kullanmıyorum; toprağı doğal yollarla, köylülerden temin ettiğim koyun gübresi ile besliyorum.
Üç köpeğimiz ve çok sayıda tavuğumuz var. Hava koşulları uygun olduğunda hayvanlarımız bahçede oluyor. Soğuk havalarda ise ailemin merkezdeki evinde kalıyorlar.
Günlük yaşamımız sabah köpeklerle ilgilenmek, tavukların yumurtalarını toplamak ve birlikte kahvaltı yapmakla başlıyor. Gün içinde bahçe işleriyle devam ediyoruz. Gönüllüler, çapalama ve budama gibi temel çiftlik işlerinde kullanılan aletleri öğrenebilir. Akşamları birlikte yemek yiyor, soba başında sohbet ediyoruz. Biz bir orman köylüsü ailesiyiz ve sade, gerçek bir kırsal yaşam sunuyoruz.
İngilizce bilmiyorum; ancak bunun iletişim için bir engel olacağını düşünmüyorum. Karşılıklı anlayış ve iyi niyetle her şey kolaylaşıyor.

Volunteers experience authentic Anatolian village life. We share our daily lives, traditions, food culture, and hospitality. We cook together, drink tea, chat, and go on nature walks. Volunteers get to know the local culture and also have the opportunity to share their own culture with us.
Gönüllüler, gerçek bir Anadolu köy yaşamını deneyimler. Günlük hayatımızı, geleneklerimizi, yemek kültürümüzü ve misafir perverliğimizi paylaşırız. Birlikte yemek yapar, çay içer, sohbet eder ve doğa yürüyüşleri yaparız. Gönüllüler hem yerel kültürü tanır hem de kendi kültürlerini bizimle paylaşma imkânı bulur.

We are looking for volunteer support in basic agricultural activities such as gardening, walnut orchard maintenance, hoeing, and pruning. In addition, sharing daily rural life, going on nature walks, and cultural exchange are also part of the experience.
Bahçe işleri, ceviz bahçesi bakımı, çapalama ve budama gibi temel tarımsal faaliyetlerde gönüllü destek bekliyoruz. Bunun yanında günlük kırsal yaşamı paylaşmak, doğa yürüyüşleri yapmak ve kültürel etkileşim de deneyimin bir parçasıdır.

Accommodation
Volunteers stay in a simple and clean rural house located here. There is a fireplace, shower, and toilet. Common areas are shared, and heating is provided by a fireplace/stove. We offer a tranquil environment surrounded by nature.
We value sharing meals with our volunteers. We offer two home-cooked meals a day. Meals are generally prepared with natural, local, and seasonal products.
The kitchen is open for shared use. Volunteers who wish can prepare their own meals; basic kitchen supplies, tea, and coffee are always available. Vegetarian options are available.
Our aim is not just to work, but to produce together, share, and offer a life experience in harmony with nature.

What else ...
Because we operate in a family-like environment, we prefer volunteers who do not smoke and have no children. There are no restrictions on alcohol consumption; however, respect and moderation are expected. Mutual understanding, harmony, and a calm atmosphere are important to us.
Aile ortamında yaşadığımız için sigara içmeyen ve çocuksuz gönüllüler tercih edilir. Alkol konusunda bir kısıtlama yoktur; ancak saygılı ve ölçülü olunması beklenir. Karşılıklı anlayış, uyum ve sakin bir ortam bizim için önemlidir.

Arazimiz kampçılar ve motorlu karavanlar için uygundur. Elektrik ihtiyacı güneş panelleriyle karşılanmaktadır. Ateş yakılmasına izin verilir. Toplam 10 dönüm olan arazimizde ceviz ağaçları 7×7 metre aralıklarla dikilidir. Alan tel çit ile çevrilidir, güvenli ve düzenlidir. Doğayla iç içe, sakin ve geniş bir kamp deneyimi sunar. Duş ve WC imkânı mevcuttur.
Can possibly accept pets
Kediler ev içinde kalabilir. Köpekler kabul edilir ancak ev içine alınmaz. Arazimiz tel çit ile çevrilidir. Bahçede kendi hayvanlarımız bulunduğu için, gelen evcil hayvanların uyumlu ve kontrol altında olması beklenir.
