    Description

    We are a family‑run, small, exclusive Resort close to Whitehorse in Canada's Yukon. We are on a semi-remote location in the countryside, on private 145 acres, 25 minutes from downtown Whitehorse in the Yukon, with eight individual guest chalets.

    In the fall & wintertime, we focus on the Northern Lights. We have a bonfire outside every night, and our guests can enjoy the view of the Aurora Borealis. During the day, we offer tours and activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, and wildlife viewing.

    We are a small team of 12-14 members from various countries, including Canada, Germany, China, Japan, and the Philippines. We welcome you to work with us and experience the magic of the Yukon, a winter wonderland with spectacular views of the Northern Lights, and the eternal, larger-than-life nature of summer.

    There is always work, as life here is an everyday new adventure!

    Please note: We pay the minimum wage of the Yukon for every hour worked, $18.

    We are looking for reliable and motivated WorkAwayers to join our small team here in the Yukon, Canada.

    Our boutique resort is located in a beautiful and quiet area just outside Whitehorse. Guests from around the world visit us to experience the Northern Lights and the Yukon wilderness.

    This opportunity is best suited for people who enjoy responsibility, structured work, and living close to nature.

    Start date: August 10, 2026
    Duration: Until mid-April (end of winter season)

    Please note: this is not a holiday-style WorkAway. We are looking for people with a strong work ethic who want to contribute to a professional hospitality environment.

    Position 1 – Northern Lights Night Guide

    We are looking for someone to host our guests during nightly Northern Lights viewing at the resort.

    Typical shift: 9:45 PM – 2:00 AM
    Frequency: 5–6 nights per week

    Tasks include:

    - Hosting guests at the bonfire Northern Lights viewing area
    - Preparing and maintaining the bonfire
    - Sharing interesting information about the Northern Lights and the Yukon
    - Taking photos of guests with the Northern Lights
    - Creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

    This position does not involve driving.

    Requirements:

    - Comfortable speaking with guests
    - Friendly and confident personality
    - Interest in photography
    - Hospitality experience is helpful

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys night work, nature, and meeting people from around the world.

    Position 2 – Tour Guide / Driver

    We are also looking for a tour guide who can drive guests on our excursions.

    Typical tours include:

    - Whitehorse city tours
    - Wildlife Preserve & Hot Springs
    - Southern Lakes sightseeing
    - Airport transfers

    Responsibilities include:

    - Driving guests safely and professionally
    - Sharing information about the Yukon and local culture
    - Ensuring guests have a great experience during tours
    - Representing the resort in a professional way

    Requirements:

    - Class 4 driver's license (mandatory)
    - Comfortable speaking with guests
    - Friendly and professional personality
    - Previous guiding or tourism experience preferred

    Position 3 – Housekeeper & Occasional Breakfast Service

    We are looking for someone to support our housekeeping team and occasionally assist with breakfast service.

    Tasks include:

    - Cleaning and preparing guest chalets
    - Laundry and housekeeping tasks

    - Occasionally helping with breakfast service in the morning

    Requirements:

    - Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
    - Attention to detail
    - Friendly and guest-oriented attitude
    - Ability to work efficiently and independently

    Resort & Spa is located approximately 25 km south of Whitehorse in a quiet, natural setting. There is no public transportation to the property, but staff often have the opportunity to join one of our regular shuttles into town. For those with a valid driver’s license, a staff car is available for personal use during free time (based on availability and responsibility).

    While small in size, Whitehorse is a vibrant northern hub, offering a mix of cultural events, local cafés, galleries, and outdoor activities. During the fall and winter seasons, the surrounding wilderness comes alive in a different way — perfect for those who enjoy crisp air, snow-covered landscapes, and Northern adventure.

    - Visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and see northern species like moose, muskox, lynx, and more
    - Relax at the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, open year-round
