Description
We are a family‑run, small, exclusive Resort close to Whitehorse in Canada's Yukon. We are on a semi-remote location in the countryside, on private 145 acres, 25 minutes from downtown Whitehorse in the Yukon, with eight individual guest chalets.
In the fall & wintertime, we focus on the Northern Lights. We have a bonfire outside every night, and our guests can enjoy the view of the Aurora Borealis. During the day, we offer tours and activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, and wildlife viewing.
We are a small team of 12-14 members from various countries, including Canada, Germany, China, Japan, and the Philippines. We welcome you to work with us and experience the magic of the Yukon, a winter wonderland with spectacular views of the Northern Lights, and the eternal, larger-than-life nature of summer.
There is always work, as life here is an everyday new adventure!

Work in the Yukon Wilderness – Aurora Night Guide & All-Rounder Position

Looking for a truly unique work experience? Join us at the Resort & Spa, an award-winning, family-run retreat in the Yukon wilderness. We’re currently hiring a reliable and motivated team member for a full-season position, combining Aurora guiding, snow maintenance, and general support around the resort.
Position: Aurora Night Guide / Snow Removal / All-Rounder
Key Responsibilities:
- Guiding and supporting guests during nightly Northern Lights viewing (10:00 PM to 2:00 AM)
- Lighting bonfires, monitoring safety, and assisting with Aurora photography
- Snow removal from walkways and guest areas
- Occasional assistance with firewood and light maintenance
- General support around the property as needed
- Maintaining a calm, friendly presence and ensuring a premium guest experience
Requirements:
- Prior experience in guiding, outdoor work, or hospitality
- Comfortable working independently and outdoors in cold temperatures
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Full-season availability (mid-August until mid-April)
- Class 5 or 4 driver’s license and photography skills are assets

Resort & Spa is located approximately 25 km south of Whitehorse in a quiet, natural setting. There is no public transportation to the property, but staff often have the opportunity to join one of our regular shuttles into town. For those with a valid driver’s license, a staff car is available for personal use during free time (based on availability and responsibility).
While small in size, Whitehorse is a vibrant northern hub, offering a mix of cultural events, local cafés, galleries, and outdoor activities. During the fall and winter seasons, the surrounding wilderness comes alive in a different way — perfect for those who enjoy crisp air, snow-covered landscapes, and Northern adventure.
Things to Do in Your Free Time (Fall & Winter Focus):
- Visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and see northern species like moose, muskox, lynx, and more
- Relax at the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, open year-round
- Enjoy snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on local trails
- Try ice fishing, skating, or even dog sledding during the peak winter months
- Hike into the hills for stunning views and quiet snowy trails
- Take a weekend road trip to nearby destinations (staff often carpool or share vehicles)
