my stay here was amazing, the people was welcoming and very nice. there was a lot of independent work, which I loved. overall a great experience!

Michael and I worked together very well. His strengths are particularly evident in the field of computers, where he was always competent and reliable in providing help. He also contributed actively to practical tasks, supporting us with skill and dedication wherever he could. In his free time, we played beach tennis together and enjoyed many pleasant moments. Michael is a kind and calm personality, whom we came to value very much. We truly grew fond of him and would be happy to welcome him back at any time.

Marina & Samantha contacted us early, and after many messages of communication and calls, we agreed on the arrival date. The next day after arrival, they had a unexpected wedding to attend and left the place :(

After 6 months of traveling, I put down my bag for 10 days at Julia and Jackie's, 2 girls full of energy, very creative, who have great knowledge about plants, the earth, nutrients, animals etc... I participated in the transition between tent accommodation and permanent accommodation, at the top of the mountain, in the middle of lush vegetation: this place is designed for community life in the middle of incredible nature, the girls take care of the abundant land and conducive to self-sufficiency (solar panel and rainwater already in place). The work was hard for me because the heat and humidity make each task difficult but, the girls knew how to intersperse the moments of working the land with cooking activities where I was able to learn to make tofu, peanut oil, coconut milk and above all, I now know how to cook rice properly! THANK YOU to you girls and a big BRAVO for your project, if there were more Julia/Jackie, the world would be very different!

What can I say? This experience was truly beyond beautiful. I cherished every single second of it. The land carries such a magical, calming energy that made me feel at home from the very first moment. Adam and Dana were incredible hosts, radiating warmth and love. I learned so much from them. Adam with his deep knowledge and passion for permaculture and the land, and Dana with her profound spiritual wisdom and gentle guidance. Their presence was both grounding and inspiring. I loved every shared laugh, every deep conversation, and every quiet moment in between. Beyond the daily work, I had the freedom to simply be with the land, to follow my own rhythm, and to let creativity flow. The land itself inspired me in countless ways, softening me, opening me, and reconnecting me with a deeper sense of self. I also had the chance to explore beyond the homestead, visiting inspiring projects, joining a light language sound bath, celebrating with community at a pizza party and a birthday, and experiencing the vibrant market in Freedomville. It was beautiful to witness all that people are creating there and how wholeheartedly they support one another. I am endlessly grateful for being welcomed, for being part of this vision, and for the chance to share in this journey. It touched me deeply, and I carry the inspiration within me. I truly hope to return soon 🌀🤍

We had the pleasure of welcoming the two sisters Luna and Carmen from Slovenia to this place for 14 days. They are two wonderful, warm-hearted young women who delighted us with their open, friendly, and communicative nature. They contributed in many areas – cooking, gardening, maintaining the outdoor spaces, and cleaning rooms. They carried out all tasks reliably, helpfully, and with joy. We also shared lots of fun together: plenty of laughter, dancing, and memorable experiences – even joining us at the New Pop Festival in Baden-Baden. We truly enjoyed the time with them and would be more than happy to welcome them back anytime. A wholehearted recommendation! Wir durften für 14 Tage die beiden Schwestern Luna und Carmen aus Slowenien bei uns an diesem Ort willkommen heißen. Es sind zwei super nette, herzliche junge Frauen, die uns mit ihrer offenen, freundlichen und kommunikativen Art sehr erfreut haben. Sie haben sich in vielen Bereichen engagiert – beim Kochen, in der Gartenarbeit, bei der Pflege des Außengeländes sowie beim Reinigen der Zimmer. Alles haben sie zuverlässig, hilfsbereit und mit Freude übernommen. Viel Freude geteilt: viel Lachen, Tanzen und gemeinsame Erlebnisse – sogar beim New Pop Festival in Baden-Baden waren sie mit dabei. Wir haben die Zeit mit ihnen sehr genossen und würden uns jederzeit freuen, sie wieder bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Mihaela & Hermis are a great couple, they are a joy to have around with a great positive attitude and also input to whatever project they are working on, they were a pleasure to host.

Our stay with Cora and Thomas was truly special and unforgettable. They are a warm-hearted, incredibly funny, and welcoming couple who immediately made us feel at home. As our very first Workaway experience, we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better start. They were super flexible with the work schedule, which gave us plenty of freedom to explore the area we even managed to take a short trip to Galway! The location is perfect: close to Dublin city and just a 2 min from beautiful Marlay Park, which we enjoyed every single day. The work itself was varied, hands-on, and never boring and yes, we’ve learned (perhaps a little too well) just how persistent Briars can be! We also loved our little tea break and our chitchat during our work:) Every meal we shared was full of laughter and good conversations. We already miss the legendary chicken wings and cozy movie nights. To anyone lucky enough to come here next: enjoy every moment, take part in the Parkrun, and soak in the kindness of this lovely home.

Dana stayed with us last August and we had a very nice experience with her. She is charming, highly respectful, careful, meticulous while working, open to learn and fit well with our daughters. She was proactive and perfectly capable of working independently, as she stayed a few days alone at the farm, while we were having some holidays. I would definetely recommend her to any host.

Michelle and Adrian were very pleasant and carried out tasks without hesitation. They weren't afraid to get stuck in and they were great with the animals 😊

This was our first Workaway experience and we have to admit that it was lovely! The whole family made us feel appreciated and welcome – we felt like a real member of the family. We mainly helped in the garden (that was great team work!) and taught the children English. Fortunately, the timing was perfect, so we were also able to help out at and participate in their local market! We are thankful for everything we learned during that week and that they made it easy to get to know them – we really enjoyed their company and our conversations about everything under the sun during lunch or dinner (always also a culinary delight!!). We wish them all the best for the future and are grateful that we had the opportunity to get to know them!

My one-month experience with this program was absolutely amazing! The team is wonderful, and you immediately feel part of the group as soon as you arrive. The work on the houses is physical but never too hard: we were never forced to do anything and could always take breaks if needed. No technical skills are required, and the team leaders are excellent teachers who explain things clearly and are always there to help if needed. It’s such a joy to see the houses being rebuilt, and especially touching to meet their owners, who are always so grateful. In short: I 100% recommend this program! If you want to help people while making great connections, go for it—you won’t be disappointed!

The 2 weeks Jessica spent here were great. Doing all sort of things that came up without a real plan . Just meeing up each morning and taking the day as it comes . Jessica helped in every aspect of the dayly life in our homestead, from general maintenance staff like fencing, cleaning and organizing the nursery, weeding, maintaining the vegetable garden to projects like helping to build the pond in the new greenhouse and building with me the bathroom for the caravan. We spent nice time, eating together in the evening, talking and traveling in the area. Quiet, respectful, responsible, intelligent and sensitive .

Fraternal, eager to learn new things and easy to get along with. The humour is not foreign to her! Thank you for your investment in various daily tasks!

Tiernan took such great care of my pets while I was away on holiday! He was really attentive and clearly put thought into making sure they were well looked after. I loved getting the little updates and pictures, and he didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions, which I really appreciated. It showed how much he genuinely cared. Knowing they were in such good hands made it so much easier for me to relax and not worry while I was traveling, which was honestly such a gift. Highly recommend!

my friend and I stayed with Chantal for 10 days and we fell in love with the beautiful place. The river and all the crops they have been planting with so much love are perfectly entangled with the beautiful landscape. We met different people, learnt so many things about gardening but also about cooking and, for example, building with concrete. amazing experience, we were really sad to leave and would have stayed longer if we didn't have our flights already.

We were delighted to welcome Atefeh and are truly grateful for the time she spent with us. She was dedicated, reliable, and always willing to contribute wherever needed. Her positive energy and kind demeanor made her a great addition to the community. She quickly adapted to the rhythm of the farm, showed great initiative in her duties, and brought valuable skills that enriched our daily work. In addition to her contributions, she also established a wonderful connection with the team and the spirit of the place, making her presence especially meaningful. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any future homeowner or project. She will undoubtedly bring commitment, responsibility, and a wonderful energy wherever she goes.
