Hello and thanks for your interest in our farm. Right now the main sight in the farm is olive trees and that is why we need most help during the olive picking season. The plan is to change the mono-culture to a bio-diverse regenerative agriculture site, based on permaculture principles.
The land of the project is a haven of natural resources, good soil, a river just 200m away, the sea 1.5km away, good clay, sand, wood, stones, all one would need to built and farm is around. The idea is to share this place with others that would commit to the responsibility of trying to be as self sufficient as possible.

You could learn about cooking and eating local and homemade products. Some things about olive farming and permaculture. If you are looking for a typical "greek" cultural experience, maybe this is not the best place to visit, as we are very international.
2 weeks is the average stay. if there is a good vibe off course it can be extended.
Most work is physical, outdoors. It gets hot in the summer, we wake up early. Nature is thriving around here, so if you re sensitive to mosquitos, snakes, lizards, spiders, frogs, bees, wasps, etc... then better not come.
Please have some closed shoes and comfy footware for the house and a sleeping bag (and tent and mat if you re going to camp).
The help needed is basically the olive harvesting which runs for 3/4 months a year, september to december. Olive picking is a physically easy job, but it s not easy mentally as there are 2000 of them olive trees... and doing it every day can be hard for many. The work starts at 7 and when it get darker at 7:30. You work for 5 hours and the afternoon is free.
For the rest of the year occasionally we need help with animal care and the garden.
During the period May- October, you put up your tent either in the olive grove or in a pine forest 30 metres away from the house. You should bring your own gear.
There s plenty of things to do around here. The sea is just 30 minute walk away, a beautiful river is 200m away where you can swim in the summer. I climb at place near by, so ones that want to join on a day off are very welcome. You can hike or cycle to the surrounding mountain peaks.
There is a bus that comes to (and leaves from ) the village of Rovies from Athens 3 times a day. But I ll send you more info if this is needed later on.
Few things that is good to know before you come here. this is not to scare you away but to have a better understanding in case you want to stay longer.
There are always things to do and in general some of us are very busy, even though having a good time is also part of keeping busy. you are expected to be an active member of a communal living and not just a visitor, if you look for a place to work a few hours and then have a complete disconnected life then this is not the place for you. there is no expert here to teach anything and we all learn together experimenting with various things, gardens, food preservation, natural construction. we live simple, there is no internet in the house (but ιn the village 2km away), we use a compost toilet and we all contribute voluntary either in the cooking or cleaning up. for the rest of the day everyone is eating when they feel like it, but with responsibility to the rest of the group. In general self initiative, respect to the group and responsibility are quite important for a smooth cohabitation.

Maximum 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. In general we dont live to work but work to live, so everyday is full of work but also everyday has its holidays (swimming, chilling, playing music, games) so depends on the visitor to choose between having a fixed
