Nathan is a super easygoing guy, ready to give a hand with all sorts of jobs with a smile on his face. He is a super nice person to be around and is good with all sorts of work.

Svetlana is very organized, welcoming, and always ready to help. She spontaneously worked and smiled. I recommend maintaining a strong friendship with her. She taught me a lot of Russian, and I miss St. Petersburg even more now. Come back anytime, Lana! :)

Olivia is very trustworthy, was very helpful in our household und surprised us with her energy to hike around our mountains all night. Litereally all night - no joke. Brave lady - but Tirol is a very safe place anyway. Only very little crime and bears cross our mountains only on rare occasions!

i stayed at Carina's and Fulco's place for 5 weeks and I must say, it was really great experience. Before I arrived we had 2 calls together where we agreed on simple terms, most important for me was straight comunication, so It was really easy. I felt welcomed and safe even before my arrival! Fulco, Carina and Alexandria took their time to show me around and get my bearings so K felt like at home. Staying in Clay cottage was really nice, its really spacious and calm even for 2 people, you got your own everything, so you have plenty space to do your own things. We had dinner together every evening (Fulco is excelet cook). Fulco is doing groceries really often so I had everything I needed and I was never hungry, even when I think I eat more then avarege person in NL haha. Work. we were working on specific project in garden (pond) so we talked about details and visions in advance so I could to my thing. I really felt like they trusted me and it was really nice. We also worked on some smaller tasks together or some daily tasks in garden or studio. Everything was really easy for me, and even if it wasn't noone will push you to things you don't want to do. After short time I felt like part of the family, Fulco is one of the most present and calm fathers and husbands I've ever met, (coming from man hater), he is always trying to help and be for you. Men, take notes he is real one. Carina is so comunicative, you can talk about anything with her, I really feel like we discussed the universe during my stay! She is also great ceramist, u can experiment and practice in her studio, there is nothing u can't do there! Alexandria aka Ale aka Pyro! I felst like this little angel became my lil sister, I wish we spent more time together, but time we had was blessing. After long time I could run on my four, climb trees, play with the frogs, and just don't think about adult stuff. She is really comunicative little girl, miss you already guys! Can't wait when I visit you! love u!

Thank you for staying with us, we really enjoyed your company and companionship. Your respectful way around us and the house made it feel like time flew. It was very lovely to see how you loved our little white beast Edelweiss 😁 and how he loved you back. Thx for your diligent work especially where it was boring and never-ending, much appreciated. It is great that you are so open to learn new games as this is an important part of our evening and social routine - and thank you so much for your beautiful gift adding two new card games to our collection when you left. Lena was a delight to have as a Workaway visitor! She's a well-informed and thoughtful conversationalist, and generally very good company! She's also a very talented sewing genius, who helped us finish (start!) several projects; and she's a very patient teacher and coach, helping us to be less intimidated by our own sewing machine and a smidge more confident about tackling sewing projects on our own. She joined us for several social events in our community, and friends and neighbours all loved meeting her. We would have her back without hesitation!

We’ve had a great experience hosting Lorenzo for four weeks on our construction site during his first Workaway adventure. He is friendly, polite, and communicative and was interested to learn new things. He brought positive energy and helped a lot around the site. We’re definitely looking forward to hosting hime again anytime.

Unfortunately, the walled garden no longer exists, but Eimhin was still kind enough to welcome me and share with me the details of the project’s implementation and the History of Birr. I spent a very special weekend immersed in the magnificent Irish countryside.

We are very greateful that Julius came to volunteer, he is a great helper to have around: smart, experienced and interested in learning. Apart from helping out with building walls and insulating, he made himself useful on the construction site, being skilled with using tool. He has been great company and we wish he could have stayed longer.

Anna, Vivi and Milàn stayed with us for two weeks and we really enjoyed hosting them. We are super grateful for all the work they did, the amazing stone wall they built, the delicious meals and bread they cooked, the company and the nice moments we shared. They worked with such care and competence! Also, little Vivi brought so much joy around, we miss her little voice:) We wish you all the best and would be happy to see you again someday.

This experience was really positive , Rennet is an empathetic and sensitive person and we could taIk a lot about ourselves and share our experience and life. Her house and yard are beautiful and you will feel home and relax after work. I am grateful to had this time there, it's the kind of workaway that you would do again with pleasure :)

It was a pleasure to have Federico at our construction site helping out. He was extroverted, easy going and always ready to be helpful- always being interested to learn new things. He was proactive and did not mind getting his hands dirty. Fede was really skilled with using tools, driving the wheel loader and other day to day duties. He stayed for a few weeks but we will always be remembered for his funny stories, good mood and the Viesel-misu (special recipe). Thanks for staying with us, you are always welcome here, Fede!

April is a truly incredible person - she came to us for two weeks and we are so very grateful for the huge help and support she gave us each and every day of her stay. April is versatile and meticulous with everything she tackles and carried out each task for us with a very cheery manner. She carried out routine daily chores for the animals, feeding and cleaning the pens and fields whilst showing great love and kindness for them all. April also cleaned and painted garden furniture, strimmed weeds, cleared raised beds / vegetable patch. She also carried out multiple clerical tasks extremely efficiently including organising social media posts, designing and producing leaflets and posters and was very patient with us in her explanations of how to execute various tasks. Throughout the stay April was very easy going, clean tidy and respectful to us and our home and fitted in perfectly with our family. She was kind and loving to all our animals and worked very hard to become friends with our very shy Bella Bassett……..she succeeded ! ❤️ Huge thank you for everything you did for us April and know that you’re welcome back anytime at all. On our cattle station Efraim was always keen to learn new skills and followed instructions even if the tasks were very different from those he learnt in European farms. I will be very happy to have Efraim again!

I spent three weeks there last year during off-season. During that time I artistically designed the bar and helped Marija to reorganise stuff and prepare for the following season. Marija is very easy-going and the communication with her was smooth and we got along really well. She respected my time for privacy and that I can do my online work in between. I had a great time there and enjoyed my stay there during rainy season. I can recommend it to anyone to experience life next to the beach

What can I say about Ani's place? I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for a month in September and it was wonderful. After doing around 20 different work exchanges over the last five years I can honesty say that this was absolutely one of my favourites! Everything about it, from the work to the location to the general atmosphere of Ani's home, was amazing. First of all, Ani is without doubt one of the most conscientious, kind, and generous hosts I've ever stayed with. I always had the feeling that she cared so much about my experience - if I was doing the kind of work I wanted to be doing, if I felt comfortable and happy. Any time I had a question, Ani would just immediately stop whatever she was doing and help me. She always had the time and space. And she has such a fair and generous approach to what she expects from volunteers. The exchange felt very mutual and respectful. As for the place itself, the centre and the community it serves just felt so welcoming and wholesome. I felt at home almost from the moment I arrived, and everyone I met during my 4 week stay treated me like a friend. I'm really grateful for that. And again, I really think this just speaks to the care and devotion that Ani has put into this place over the years. It's really wonderful. Overall I can only say to anyone who's considering offering their time to this wonderful place that you absolutely shouldn't hesitate! I think this centre, and the experience that it offers, is really special. I feel very blessed and grateful that I was able to be a part of it, and I hope I can go back again some time. We stayed here at the Academy for two weeks, and we enjoyed the experience so much that we wished we could have stayed longer. It is a wonderful and very well-organized school that offers plenty of activities for the students. There are children aged between two and fifteen, with different levels of English, and they are all very polite, kind, and eager to learn. Every day, we had three to four classes, and depending on the children’s age and English level, we prepared games and activities to encourage them to speak English. It was our first experience teaching children, and we were a little nervous at first, but once we arrived, all the anxiety disappeared and we simply had fun. It was a truly beautiful experience, and we will miss the children at the Academy very much. The food they served was also delicious, healthy, and there was always plenty of it! We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves children and is open to spending time with them!

Henry feedback: - Kàta and Tom were absolutely amazing hosts, they are such lovely people and the stay was one of the best things I have ever done and been a part of. The countryside is absolutely stunning and the work is easy but very fulfilling. They are some of the nicest people out there, and were always willing to help us and accommodate what we needed and what we wanted to do. Everything they did for us was very much appreciated ❤️. Beautiful location, family, people, community, vibes, food, work. This has truly been a workaway like no other! From harvesting honey, making beef jerky, cooking strawberry dumplings and so much more! The work itself didn’t feel like work, it felt like helping out at home. And this has truly become a family for me and I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience. My friend Henry and I got a whole house to ourself pretty much. A warm bed, kitchen, and bathroom, in a completely seperate area. If you need alone time, you have it, but I promise you we didn’t need it, hanging out with these amazing people is such a delight. We got to make a pumkin patch and garden beds. We took care of chickens and baby chicks, looked after the kids, cleaned the house and gave eachother company. The kids themselves are so amazing, bright, and smart, loving there outdoors! The breakfasts, lunches, and dinners will certainly be missed! We spent a lot of time having laughs about our Australian accents and slang, it really really felt like a family :) And most importantly this workaway wasn’t just work, we got to go out with the family and explore nearby towns and history, seeing animals and buildings, eating ice creams and bakery goods. Most importantly I got introduced to poppy seeds, which might be my new found love! They go so well with everything, particularly mash potatoes (Skubánky!!!!) if you are looking for a family, insights into Czech culture, a rural/farm lifestyle, and adventures, these are your people!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Kateřina, Tom, Albert, Beata, Mr Roo, Orea Chicken, Yellow Neck, Ticks, Spiders, Baby Chicks, Fallen Chicks, and CHEEKY Skubánky!!! I had such a wonderful and pleasant time with this free-spirited, high-energy family! They are incredibly hardworking and active, yet they always made me feel so cared for. I loved how curious and attentive they were, and I’m so grateful for their patience in explaining Canadian culture and English terms to me. Music is truly the beautiful bond that connects everyone here. They shared so many unforgettable experiences with me, from showing me around the city centre and the park waterfall, to an amazing 3-hour canoeing adventure, and a fantastic 6-hour road trip up the Bruce Peninsula with Oma! For daily tasks, there was a great variety to do, even though pulling weeds definitely kept me the busiest! 😂 As for the kids... they are absolutely wonderful. They are so bright, independent, and confident - they too helped me find my way around. Thank you for everything!
