Beschreibung

My wife and I moved from Pune city to our village 8 years back. Until 2024 we had many volunteers who stayed with us and helped us with farm work. 2025 we had a baby who’s the newest member at the farm and we paused all the activities. Now we’re getting ready to restart everything! We have been running a farmstay amidst a Kesar Mango Plantation along. We host our guests and indulge them in ongoing farm activities. We are a pet friendly place with a lot of animals like Horses, Cows, Geese, Rabbits, Ponies, Dogs and Cats. We have kept our farmstay very simple. The food that we serve is the local cuisine that's cooked by few of the local ladies, it's completely village style.
We are looking for volunteers who can help us with Animal Upkeep & Gardening work.

Farming, Gardening and Animal Care! These are the things we

Farming-

We come from farmer's family and are proud to be a part of the Farming community. Our area is blessed with rich soil and abundant water. For kilometers together you won't find anything other than flat farm lands. We grow sugarcane, wheat, Bajra, Jowar, Mangoes and vegetables. Learn about these Crops and fruits. Also indulge in the farm activities! And not to forget our farm animals who make this experience wholesome.

Yoga -
Isha is a certified Yoga Trainer and takes Yoga sessions and meditation, breathing exercises etc. She is mostly occupied with her classes but if time permits you can workout with her.

Food & cultural events-
We love to share our local food with our guests and take them to nearby functions (if coincides with their stay)

Arbeit

We are looking for people who would love to experience an Indian farm life and barn life. At our place we will be needing help in animal upkeep.
And for farming activities, you can indulge in mango farming activities, vegetable gardening and plantation activities.
We also need help in decorating our property so you will be taking part in lots of art projects, diy and building activities.
No prior experience needed you just have to be ready to learn and willing to get your hands dirty!

You are surrounded by inspiration, you can feel the nature and also just relax. Slowlyslowly get to know the real India. It’s a mix of authentic rural and modern India. This was my first … read more volunteering place and first place in my trip to India ever, so on first week I was a little bit confused about everything. Like a little kid having all the time new experiences. I recommend to stay here at least two weeks. One week is not enough to know what’s going on here. There are a lot of different things to do but nobody is pushing you to do work, especially not things you normally don’t like to do. It’s kind of up to you how much and what do you want to do. In this place all kind of ideas can grow and all kind of skills can be used. Just be active, join with the staff and start working along side with them. It worked out for me and that’s my way and style to experience the world. When people here noticed that I want to be part of the hands-on work they asked me to join their daily tasks. I wanted to explore as close as possible how people are working and living here at the Farmhouse. So I helped in many different small daily tasks. Example in the kitchen for preparing food (I found motivation for cooking! When I return home I want to do as fresh food as the staff is doing here) and I also helped a little bit with horses and ponies. Once in a while I helped in the garden and preparing the guestrooms etc. There were also lots of time to just relax and hang out with people. Sometimes I just sat in the kitchen and looked how the magic happens (omg and the food is amazing, every bite was like tiny sparkling firework in my soul). Often I enjoyed my time outside and looked how beautiful flowers were dancing with the wind. And of course I want to thank Isha, Indra and their friends of giving me a great time with them!
In the very beginning I didn’t talk much with the staff here, but when I spent more and more time with them we found the same tune and had funny pantomime language. I even learned some local words. Hosts Isha and Indra are wonderful warmhearted people. They took a very good care of me and they were always happy to answer to any questions. I got very inspired just by talking with them. They have a special ”yes we can” attitude of creating things! Farmhouse is growing to be something different, it’s planting many new ideas and inspiration. I’m very thankful for this experience. I miss all of you guys!
