Help us to teach English/French our son and daughter in a village of Ciudad Real, very near to the town of Puertollano. We have a second house in Malaga, we go on holidays and some weekends.

We are a family with a daughter (12 years old) and a son (8 years old) that we live in big house in a village in the south of Ciudad Real (the land of Don Quixote). I am a teacher in a highschool of Puertollano and my husband is engineer. I would like to find an english/french native speaker that can help us to teach English to our son and daughter in the daily conversation. At the same time, we will help you to improve your Spanish language, we will teach you the spanish traditions and the spanish places.
You could come with me to my classes in the high school and help me in the bilingual subjects as a speaking auxiliary and stay listening to my Spanish classes, so this could be good for improving your Spanish.

We love travelling and we could show you a lot of cities in Spain (Madrid, Cordoba, Sevilla, Málaga,...). Although we live in a village (Almodóvar del Campo), we have a lot of opportunities to do things: walk for the countryside, go to the gym, learn Spanish with a native teacher, swin in our swimming pool, travel for all the Spain because we are located in the center of Spain,...

Somos una familia con una hija (de 12 años) y un hijo (de 8 años) que vivimos en un casa grande en un pueblo al sur de Ciudad Real (la tierra de Don Quijote). Yo soy profesora en un instituto de Puertollano y mi marido es ingeniero. Me gustaría encontrar una persona nativa inglesa/francesa que pueda ayudarnos a enseñar inglés/francés a nuestro hijo y nuestra hija en la conversación diaria. Al mismo tiempo, nosotros te ayudaremos a mejorar tu español, te enseñaremos las tradiciones españolas y los lugares de España.

Tú podrías venir a mis clases en el instituto y ayudarme en las asignaturas bilingües como auxiliar de conversación y estar escuchando mis clases de español, lo que podría ser bueno para mejorar tu español.

Nos encanta viajar y podríamos enseñarte muchos sitios en España (Madrid, Córdoba, Sevilla, Málaga, Granada,...). Aunque vivimos en un pueblo (Almodóvar del Campo), tenemos muchas oportunidades para hacer cosas: caminar por el campo, ir al gimnasio, aprender español, nadar en nuestra piscina, viajar por toda España dado que estamos situados en el centro de España,...

My experience with Natalia and her family was absolutely incredible. I was with them for just one month, though I wish I could have stayed longer, but got to experience so much. When I first arrived the family were on holiday in Málaga so I got to spend around a week and a half swimming in the pool, exploring the city, visiting the fair and… read more walking along the shore with them. Natalia showed me the historical parts of the city, which were incredible interesting, and the family introduced me to some of the best seafood I have tried!

Upon the family's return to the village I got to spend time with the grandparents who treated me as one of their own, as well as Natalia and Rafa's friends who always went out of their way to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. The abuela's amazing homecooked food was a particular highlight, as was watching the sunset from a nearby mountain where you could see the entire village.

My work involved spending some time with a textbook to teach the children English, but mainly consisted of just playing games and speaking to the children in English, as well as walking the dog from time to time. Speaking with the children in English was an easy task as both are intelligent and curious. Sara has a very high level of English and Pablo understands (though may pretend not to at first!) though struggles to speak. I had a lot of fun baking, making slime, playing games and dancing with the children.

I was lucky enough to be in Almodóvar during the annual September fiestas and had a great time watching the processions and other events with the family and managed to find a group of friends with whom I watched the bull runs and concert that took place at both the beginning and end of the fiesta. I also got to take a day trip to Córdoba, and spent the night in Madrid before coming home, both of which were incredible opportunities that Natalia organized for me.

The room in Almodóvar is very spacious, and there is a living room and bathroom on the top floor too for the au pair. One of the reasons I came to Spain was to improve my Spanish and I definitely think I accomplished this to some extent! Natalia always spoke to me in Spanish so that I could learn more (though she speak sexcellent English and communication would not be a problem if you do not speak Spanish) and I was able to chat to the grandparents and local people in Spanish and truly immerse myself in the language.

All in all I have had the most incredible time with the family and wish I could have stayed for longer. I will miss playing with the children and speaking to all the lovely people in the village. To Natalia, Rafa, Sara and Pablo thank you so much for everything. I am going to miss you all a lot!
