Description
We are a village situated on Shivalik Ranges of Pauri Garhwal district in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, India.
If you decide to come here, get ready for a life-changing and grounding experience in the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas. Imagine a place where you can just be and connect to the beautiful surroundings and nature. A place where you can take a breath.
For too long, young people have left rural areas behind for cities in search of opportunity. We want to flip that script, not just by preserving ancient wisdom, but by creating a future that inspires young people to stay, grow, and thrive right here in the Himalayas.
We want to create a sustainable ecosystem such that young villagers want to stay here and those who’ve left feel inspired to return.
More and more, young people are rediscovering the true value of living close to nature. The peace, the space, the sense of belonging, it’s something city life can’t offer. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between opportunity and simplicity, you can have both. At ancient traditions meet modern innovation. We’re all about blending the wisdom of the past, think Sanskrit, Vedic knowledge, yoga, and Ayurveda, with forward-thinking.
The last 10 years we´ve been working hard to develop a sustainable ecosystem. We have 7 locally paid staff with us who help us with agriculture, the dairy farm, education and cooking. But we also need you!
You, as a volunteer, could become a part of our dream. Every lesson taught, every garden tended, every idea shared, brings us one step closer to our dream of reviving the village. But far and foremost, we would love for you to become part of our family and want you to feel at home. We want you to be able to experience the rest a life closely connected to nature brings and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. We want to provide a space where you can unwind, take a deep breath and experience a sense of belonging.Types of help and learning opportunities
