We have recently opened the Hostel in the Rodadero district of Santa Marta. The hostel is located right on the beach and we have expansive outdoor common areas. The hostel itself can sleep up to 76 people, and as with any new business there is a lot of work to be done. We are looking for personable volunteers with initiative and a commitment to guest satisfaction. If you have a skill you think we could use, let us know! (Especially art and painting. There are a lot of walls to cover) Plus we will always need people to help on projects to make our hostel even better. Spanish and English language skills are strongly preferred, but not necessarily required, especially if you have other skills.
Right now we are also giving english lessons to our staff of 9 Colombian and 2 Argentinien employees (for Cleaning, maintenance, reception and kitchen) and we are happy to have people helping us on that side with English.
Volunteers receive accommodations and breakfast and 50% of from the restaurant´s menu.
We don`t have an open kitchen but it is possible for the volunteers to use the restaurant kitchen at certain hours.
We rent out Kayaks, stand up paddle boards and bicycles which can be used by the volunteers for free.
We have a big Swimming pool, Bar and a rooftop with a beautiful view at the sunset and we are located directly at the beach.
We offer a friendly environment and we are always happy to have good people here helping with our project

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is the tallest coastal range in the world and it is almost completely undeveloped and protected and remains home to 5 major ancient indigenous cultures that continue to this day. Within the sierra lies Ciudad Perdida, a 4-5 day trek to a lost city of the ancient tayrona. The sierra is also home to two 18,000'+ glacier covered peaks, Colon and Bolivar, which you can see while standing on a Caribbean beach in your board shorts. This is a major draw.
Parque Nacional y Natural Tayrona is listed by many global tourism publications on their top ten lists of natural places to see in the world. It is the #1 draw in a country with the most protected land in the world.
Santa Marta is the oldest city in the country and all of South America, has the oldest cathedral in South America, is where the great libertador Simon Bolivar was interred, it was sacked by Drake, invaded by pirates, and founded by sailors. It is also below the hurricane belt but on the Caribbean. It is the definition of and the first "Spanish Colonial".
