  1. Welcome to Our English Language Center in Downsouth Sri Lanka!
  
  We're a reputable and well-established English language center nestled along the stunning coastal belt of southern Sri Lanka. My name is Mahesh, and I'm the proud proprietor, chief instructor, and principal of our institute. With over 20 years of experience as a TEFL-qualified English teacher, I've had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students – from 6-year-olds to 16-year-olds, university entrants (18-20), and adult working professionals.
  Our core mission is to empower students from poor and needy families by providing them with low cost English education. Our greatest satisfaction comes from seeing our students succeed and build brighter futures. To achieve this, we go beyond traditional classroom teaching by conducting practical sessions, engaging outbound training, and interactive language workshops, giving our students invaluable exposure to the English language in real-world settings.

  We are incredibly enthusiastic about hosting foreign volunteers! Your presence enriches our students' learning experience immensely, encouraging them to speak more English through friendly discussions, cross-cultural exchanges, and shared programs.
  If you're someone who appreciates both vibrant green nature and sun-kissed sandy beaches, you'll find our school to be an absolutely ideal place to stay. Beyond the natural beauty, you'll also have a brilliant opportunity to savor diverse Sri Lankan cuisine and immerse yourself in our rich cultural heritage.
  
  What We Offer You
  
  As a volunteer, accommodation is provided free of charge, along with delicious homemade food whenever possible. For those who prioritize safety and a family atmosphere, you are warmly invited to stay with my family. You'll share life with my wife (a government teacher), our two teenage sons, and our 5-year-old daughter. We currently have 4 dedicated English language teachers and 8 other subject teachers on staff, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
  
  Join us and become an integral part of our students' journey to English proficiency, while experiencing the warm hospitality and beauty of Sri Lanka!

While the majority of the population here is Sinhalese, the area's diversity means a truly unique blend of traditions.

In return for your contributions, you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the stunning beach, located just 1km away, perfect for unwinding after your sessions."
