***EXPERIENCE RIDERS ONLY | PONIES ARE YOUNG AND NEED PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE***

I am currently looking for someone who can take good care of my animals.
    We have 5 Hmong ponies.
It is a small horse-riding stables it not very complicate job, we just need 1 person to help our Horseman Khamphou.

What's the job about and what it includes :
Maximum 5 hours working per day across morning and afternoon.
    3 meals are included
Accommodation in our staff house in a single bed in a single room
    Bicycle at disposal for you
Daily care of the horses : feeding, grooming, control the hooves of the horses, train the ponies, clean the stables, maintain the stables, clean the horseriding equipment, gardening around the stables.
Every Wednesday and Weekends we give horse-riding classes to children from 3 to 16 years old. If you are qualify you will assist to give the class.

This a very good experience for you.
If you are here during the pony camp holidays we will pay you a salary (lao base rate) in regards of the number of participants to the pony camp holidays.

Note that you are not alone working at the stables, Khamphou is our horseman and he is managing the horses and the stables. You need to be ok to work with a Lao man. We also have a cooker Mrs Gnern she is from the village nearby and come to cook for the staff and sometimes the guest.

During your free time we are located only 15 minutes from the city center of Luang Prabang you will be able to enjoy the UNESCO world Heritage city.
Wonder around the beautiful countryside of Laos.
Visit Kuang Si waterfalls, Tad se Waterfalls and Pak ou cave. We often organize trip to this famous places with the NamKhan Ecolodge Resort so that you can join in our guest group.

Let me introduce you our Hmong ponies :

Hmong ponies belongs to Hmong ethnies in Laos, the Hmong people leave remotely in the mountains of Laos.
So this horses adapted to their environment and their people, they have a size of 1m50 maximum but are very strong and can carry rice bags up to 60 kilos.
We do not use them to carry rice but we teach lao children to take care of their ponies and use them as leisure horses.
We have 5 Hmong horses at the stables, this is their names :

Ganapi, approximately 7 years old, our best train pony, she goes everywhere, scared of nothing, just love humans and life. Very well behave girl can do many things and is the best partner for children beginner.

Gazpacho, approximately 7 years old, is a big boy castrated late when we got him. Was in a poor shape and have an amazing story of survival. He loves children, loves that we take care of him and he loves his other companion. He is a lovely boy that you will for sure fell in love with. A bit scared of plastic bags on the pathways tho :)

Hadiya, approximately 6 years old, she is our special horse, she is very very very sensitive. A great companion when she trust you but she is sensitive and need a lot of love and trust from us human. She is good with children with more experience. It is our best jumping horses.

Ina, approximately 4 years old, she is green but amazing. She learn very fast and she is very cute et devoted. She is an good with children but she only have 1 year experience of being train and ride so so much to do more.
She can go everywhere and she is not scared of much. Very sure foot, she is the tallest of our horses.

Kalypso, approximately 3 years old, is our baby boy, castrated, newly train and a little stubborn but very sweet he likes to walk around and graze grass with his goat sisters. He listen properly, follow very well and he can be touch everywhere and like to shower, brush and trot on. Very naughty boy with his big brother Gazpacho.

So just for you to understand that we love our horses here, it is not a big school. We just are passionate people who train horses bareback, without bridle, without bit in the mouth. We like ethology teaching and we look forward for someone to increase the skills of our ponies in this way.
We like liberty work, jumping, dressage and horseback riding in the lao countryside. We can bring you for amazing ride and pic nic in Chomphet district or Pik Noy district while you'll be working with us. The young ones needs to be train to the truck and be riden in the countryside.

Best profile for us would be a girl not to heavy and not to tall to be able to train our horses. But anyone with experience with horses is very welcome.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT couples, so please do not even ask as we do not have the possibility to accommodate you only 1 single bed available in 1 staff room.

Looking forward to read you ALL,

    Sincerely yours,
    Aurore Saita
