    Description

Hi Malonie here! Here we feel fortunate to own a small part of the untouched mexican forest, which is why we are constantly searching for alternatives for the care and preservation of the environment. 🌿
We built a hotel from scratch for people to come and spend time in and connect with nature in a secluded part of the jungle, right on the Ruta de los Cenotes and we are constantly trying to improve it so there is always work to do. 😊
We have a team of local workers, who will be working closely with the volunteers and guide them in the different departments of work. Apart from the hotel the crew and the volunteers will work in different parks and cenotes in the riviera Maya, where they either develop or maintain areas for tourism.🤝

You will be living and working around Mexicans almost exclusively, which will give you a real insight in their culture and way of life. We also have guests from all parts of the world, who can share their experiences and stories, since the hotel room area is shared. Keep in mind this is a family owned hotel, not a very strict environment.

    Help

All volunteers are subject to a one week trial basis, to determine whether or not we are a good fit for eachother. You could be helping in maintaining the gardens of the hotel and the different building projects, that are underway at the time. In the different areas you will also be doing social media work if that is your area of expertise, all depending on current projects and what is needed. Help with content, photos and blogging, messages on social platforms, our website, posting and more! Also guest services. Social media is a primary need for us at the moment - so please come prepared! Creative projects like painting murales etc. We appreciate the talents of each person and try to accommodate our work with your skills and passions in life.

We offer shared rooms for our volunteers, we try to make a friendly kind group and find nice honest people to share our space with. All basic food is provided, rice, beans, tortillas, eggs, cooking basic. Big filling breakfast and large late lunch is our usual routine and is usually prepared depending on the group we have at the time, otherwise our volunteers have access to large common kitchen and can prepare meals if needed. We do ask that you provide your own specialty diet items, expensive extras and treats. (Or look after yourself if you don´t like our daily mexican food.)

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are situated on the Ruta de los Cenotes.
There are a lot of cenotes nearby that you can visit. To get there you can either use the taxi colectivo for around 30 pesos (1-2 USD). The next biggest city is Puerto Morelos, about 20 minutes away with the colectivo. There you can go to the beach and enjoy a little bit of the night life. Cancun is also about 40 minutes by car/taxi, if you wish to visit there.
