VOLUNTEERING
As a volunteer here you will co-create, and be part of the beginning of a new project and thriving land that offers space for people to reconnect to themselves and nature.
Volunteering tasks are currently mainly construction, gardening tasks and maintenance. From May until October, cooking can be part of the work exchange. Sometimes, we ask for a work exchange of 5h/day, and all meals will be included. At other times, when we don't have so much work on the land, we kindly ask volunteers to take care of their own meals and it will only be a 2h/day or 10h/week work exchange. You can participate in the yoga classes whenever there is space (so we don't garantuee it, but like to offer it when possible). You will always have the opportunity to take 2 days/week free. Ideally we work in the spirit of selfless service, love and joy and in that space of the heart, time becomes more irrelevant and we feel what is needed to both honor ourselves and our needs, as well as find our way to serve others.
We are located 20 min. walking distance from Orgiva, which has all the essential shops and services.
Some other useful skills could be digital design and website, photography or video, collecting and processing herbs, etc.
Minimum age for volunteering: 21
ABOUT US
You can find more information about us and our project on
We are a couple with a baby/toddler. My name is Floris and I am originally from Belgium. Paulina is Polish Canadian, and our beautiful angel Amba was born in Spain in 2022.
We are yoga and meditation teachers and have been volunteering for many years on different projects and yoga retreat centers and we loved it. We have met so many great people and have made very good friends on the way.
Now is the time for us to start our new project and we need a lot of help with that.
We are so grateful that we can invite volunteers to stay with us and co-create this amazing dream.
ABOUT THE LAND AND INFRASTRUCTURE
We are located near Orgiva, in Southern spain and are blessed to live on 1,5hectare of natural paradise, close to town and yet it feels really remote and wild. The infrastructure on the land consists out of a stone house for our family(cortijo), 2 wooden cabins, a beautiful yoga hall, outdoor hot showers and compost toilets, several beautiful camping spots, and there are beautiful garden spaces. 1 of the wooden cabins is usually rented out, the other one serves as a communal building for guests and volunteers. The communal cabin has a kitchen, lounge and hot shower. We can currently only offer camping to volunteers! But I can garantuee that the camping spot is gorgeous and we will provide the tent, sheets, blankets and matrass.
Our 1,5 hectare land is home to a large bio-diversity and is full of trees: centuarian olive trees, apples, pomegranates, oranges, figs, lemons and loquat. In November-December we harvest our own olives for oil, and in August there are so many figs that it seems impossible to eat them all.
We want to create a space for people from all over the world to come and enjoy nature, healthy food, yoga and meditation, and to reconnect through hands, heart and mind to the land and our true essence. We also like to invite you to take on a spiritual/holistic practice, share your own facilitators skills, or join some of our workshops/classes.
LOCATION
The land is located 20 minutes walking distance from Orgiva, a little village with an alternative vibe. There are different bio-shops, where you can find organic food and a variety of eco items.
There are cosy coffee shops and restaurants, as well as a weekly market.
We have a big community of foreigners living around the area.
You can join the different alternative activities organized in the village.
The landscape is stunning as we are at the foot of Sierra Nevada. There are plenty of hikes around, and we are only 40min driving from the beach.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We get a lot of messages and volunteering request. I am very happy to answer them, but will not answer to questions that you can find in the listing, or for short volunteering requests. Please read the description carefully and see if it really resonates with you. We like to attract a community of responsible, enthusiastic, and independent people to build together a space for the heart and soul to flourish and to live in harmony with the natural focces of existence!

YOGA, PERMACULTURE, AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
We are an international community in which we spontaneously exchange knowledge and skills between each other.
Our main values are oriented around taking care of the land and each other, creating a conscious atmosphere where we can be encouraged to awaken to our true calling and essential nauture, and being a living model for healthy communication between each other.
We offer our experience as Yoga retreat leaders, so it could be a great way for people interested in diving deeper into yoga and meditation. We will offer occasional yoga/meditation classes for free to the volunteers.
Permaculture has been a big part of our life for many years, and we like to implement the principles on the land.Help
We have 2 different volunteer agreements, each offering you to have 2 days/week days off:
- 2h/day of help in exchange for accommodation only (camping, and access to the communal cabin with kitchen and hot showers) OR
- 5h/day of help in exchange for food and accommodation during retreats (Most of the time from May until October)
When we have a few weeks during the retreat season no retreats going on, we ask people to provide for there own meals and have a 2h/day work exchange.
