Description
'Heal the land, heal yourself'
In a corner of Eastern Tuscany you can find a temple to the ancient Mother Goddess.
We run eco-awareness & action courses where you will research planetary issues and strategies to confront them.
There are indoor and outdoor tasks in a rural environment
including sustainable horticulture, Reichian free breathing, forest dreaming, hiking, yoga, massage and animal care, mending, repurposing, music making, food preparation, wild foods.
You're especially welcome to practice or learn craft and art skills here.
Single voyagers, couples, children, friends, companion animals and van-travellers all welcome.
Volunteers are invited to spend two weeks minimum -- longer stays very welcome. Please don't smoke on the property.

We are part of village life so you can interact with friendly people and learn about new and old ways of living in the Italian countryside. We have an on-going philosophical and art project to celebrate and spread the Mother Goddess idea as an alternative to selfish, disembodied modern life.

Help
As we are in large rural buildings, and have land and trees to look after any help is welcome. It would be great if you could go down to the local markets and do some shopping and help look after our animals, a Borzoi dog and two cats, brushing and taking for walks. PLEASE BRING STRONG SHOES OR BOOTS FOR WORKING AND WALKING IN THE WOODLANDS.

This was our first workaway project and it was perfect thanks to Ray! We had a lovely time, got to explore nature and the local town.
The tasks were pretty reasonable and my favorite part was walking Sybil (the dog).

This place was home for me! I felt really good and Ray was amazing to me. Always concerned about my well-being! The job was really light, I worked either in the morning or in the afternoon, and I had a lot of free time to explore the area and to play with Sibi (his cute dog)! I had a really nice time with Raymondo and Sibi. The work was simple and easy and I spent the afternoons wandering around the beautiful hills and village. A quiet place but relaxing. Raymondo was nice to talk to and enjoyed talking about sustainability/ lifestyle change. He also took me on some day trips to the local sights which was lovely.

What a great stay in Montagna! Ray is a charismatic, generous man and his animals are other very pleasing presences who make the place altogether a lovely home on term. We had a lovely time sleeping in the ancient tower, exploring the countryside and local wildlife, as well as chopping all the firewood we could get our hands on! The old buildings are amazing and Ray was very accomodating. The place is very rural and quiet, yet Sansepolcro is only a 15 min drive away. A very nice experience.

This was my first time doing workaway and It was an amazing experience. The place is so beautiful and chill. Sibi the dog is lovely and playful. The tasks I did were watering the plants, take Sibi for a walk, I painted a sign for his house, cooking, cleaning. A good place to do hiking also! 0

A calm community with a beautiful landscape to volunteer.
Ray was always great: interesting person with whom it's easy to feel comfortable all time.
