    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Oaxaca is a beautiful place with a lot of culture around.
There is a great deal to see in and around the city, also Oaxaca has arguably the best cuisine in Latin America. If you're in the mood for a cooking class just ask Mike about it or if you like you can be part and assist Mike at the cooking classes some days a week.
For sure he can teach you separately how to cook some Oaxacan traditional meals to enjoy and in a future you can cook it at home or wherever you be. There are also a plethora of craft villages, several top notch Zapotec and Mixtec (pre-Hispanic) ruins, colonial churches, great restaurants, cooking schools and language institutes for learning Spanish, a wonderful central square (zócalo), Old World charm, tons of delicious street food, restaurants, bars and clubs to drink and dance salsa, merengue and cumbia, etc, etc, etc.
Or, if you are into the sports you can join us training at the pool, the track, the climbing gym or the mountain. There are tons of activities to do around.

    Hi guys!

Before anything, we have to say "Thank you so much!!" to all the previous workawayers who helped me to create, improve, and make the little farm a better place. Now, it is time to evolve. So, we need volunteers who can stay at least for 3 or 4 weeks. The idea of this is to have someone to help us to improve the place and manage the ongoing projects in a regular way.

So, at the moment, we need volunteers who have knowledge/skills in digital marketing, graphic design, farming, gardening, construction, general mantainece etc. so, all together we can continue improving the new eco farm and also improving the place

We also need people who are talented in marketing and communication to help with advertising the space. Website designers, social media marketers etc. etc.

The farm is an ongoing project, so knowledge of agriculture, especially organic growing/spin farming/ permaculture/ animal care etc. is always welcome.
    .
Some upcoming projects on the farm include; seeding, transplanting, building raised beds, building an irrigation system, feeding the chickens, etc, etc

As well as this, there is always routine work to do on the little farm e.g. looking after the animals, landscaping, weeding, harvesting, etc. Everything depends on the season and all of this is in a small production. (sometimes starting form scratch)

With some of the products that we collect, we can cook some jam, just eat them or use them for the cooking classes when it is needed. We have 25 chickens to have daily fresh eggs and 5 dogs, 2 cats. The plan in the close future is to buy a couple of goats to produce some milk and cheese and also a pig, were building their spaces.

So, there is a wide variety of projects to choose from and you are free to pick something that interests you to work on while you are here

(but for now we re building it....) Also we are trying to built an outdoor kitchen and bar for the next workawayers, that way we need your help. T

We're located 15/25 minutes away from down town depending what time you are moving, or 10 to 15 minutes by bicycle.

The bus stop is 3 minutes walking, market, supermarket, mini-stores and laundry 3 minutes walking, basically you can find everything that you need in less than 500m around.

The place is a small ranch, it is an oasis in the middle of the city.

We're offering one or two measl a day, basically, breakfast, it can be some toast, fresh eggs just collected, coffee, or maybe some quesadillas with some tangerine juice. etc.
