We are a self-organized, solidary, social, ecological community project on the countryside in Southern Germany, close to the Swiss border.
We are 12 adults of different age and 8 children between 6 month - 10 years, but only 6 of them live here fulltime. And we also have a cat and 7 tiny sheeps.
Since August 2016 we are living on 4 floors in our land-side house . Next to the house we have a big shed, a wood workshop, gardens, forests, meadows….
The project owns 9,5 hectare land. Currently seven sheep are living here and two ponies and one horse. Parts of our land is a natural habitat, forests, meadows and fields.
We are a diverse group of social workers, (pre-)school teachers, gardeners, natural healer, ergotherapist, carpenter, teacher, designer, artist and programmer. We have a vegan/vegetarian dinner together everyday. All decisions belonging to the project are made in a consent, therefore we meet once a week to increase our corporate feeling and for spreading information.
Our guests shall always be a part of us and our project. We want our guest to live and work together with us as long as they stay here. We want them to feel home. We want to learn from our guests as they can learn from us.

We are a young project, and so you will be able to be a part of the astonishing growth of dreams into reality in the social context of people committed to living together.
Also organic and dynamic gardening, sustainable constructions, healthy foods and herbs and sustainable living in general are important for us!
Last but not least we have a lot of fun!
And of course, you can improve your German, if you want, and maybe find the right place and time to learn something new about yourself.
From march on we need a lot of help in the garden. This year we want to build new garden beds,
In August and September we need people to help us harvest all the fruit and vegetables around and store them. Also to make jam, chutneys, pickles....
Theres is always some carpenter stuff to do.
When it gets colder, we are going to do some wood for heating the house as well
Ongoing we are happy about helpers in cooking and different household and yard chores.
Depending on our needs and your interest, we will have different kinds of jobs for you. If you have any visions or ideas for projects, we'll might find a way to make it work.
To coordinate the work you can and want to do, someone will be there to give you advice or assistance. Anyway we like to have helpers who enjoy autonomy. Most of us work outside during week days, so you might have a day off or work by yourself. On weekends most of the inhabitants are there and can give assistance.
Deutsch, English, Francais, Espanol (only one person can speak Espanol)
Depending on how many people are at the Mühle when you are staying here, you either sleep in a simply furnished guest room, a small site caravan or in one of the “free” rooms of the tenants.
For sure you will have a place where you can close the door and be on your own. We will find the best option for you to stay, depending on your needs.
In the house we have a community kitchen and community living and eating room. Here you are welcome to be together with others and help yourself. The terrace is a beautiful place to be and for sure the beautiful nature around.
We are situated 1,5 km south of a small town called Tengen, in a beautiful valley with a small stream called Körbelbach. It is possible to arrive to Tengen by public transport from either Engen or Singen (Hohentwiel), but the connection is not very busy. We can pick you from the trainstation in Engen or Singen.
Tengen is a small quite town in the Hegau mountains. There you can find a bank, a pharmacy, some restaurants, and a supermarket.
In the Mühle we have internet connection and fixed network, but no mobile phone connection. Therefore you have to walk 5 Minutes up the hill.
Our food is delivered by a local biological farm. We mainly eat vegetarian.
