I grew up with two older brothers in a small town - surrounded by many lakes - in Holstein Switzerland (highest mountain 168 m :-). As a surveying engineer, I dared to change careers in 2003 as a teacher (geography / math) and now (since summer 2022) I thought it was time to take a sabbatical. My first station was the Maggital in Ticino / Switzerland, where I kept the operations running as deputy hut warden. After that I lived near Villach with Ukrainian refugees in a community. This was followed by two more activities / stays in communities. I start a trip via Thailand to Vietnam in February.
I am honest, communicative and curious to spend more time in nature as well as to meet people.

Aufgewachsen bin ich mit zwei älteren Brüdern in einer Kleinstadt - umgeben von vielen Seen - in der Holsteinischen Schweiz (höchster Berg 168 m :-). Als Vermessungsingenieur wagte ich den Quereinstieg 2003 als Lehrer (Geographie / Mathe) und fand es nun (seit Sommer 2022) an der Zeit, ein Sabbatical zu machen. Meine erste Station war das Maggital in Tessin /Schweiz, wo ich als stellvertretender Hüttenwart den Betrieb am Laufen hielt. Danach lebte ich in der Nähe von Villach mit ukrainischen Flüchtlingen in einer Gemeinschaft. Danach folgten zwei weitere Tätigkeiten / Aufenthalte in Gemeinschaften. Ich startete im Februar eine Reise über Thailand nach Vietnam.
Ich bin ehrlich, kommunikativ und neugierig, sowohl weiter Zeit in der Natur zu verbringen als auch Menschen zu begegnen.

We had a very fine time with Lothar. He was a pleasant, extremely considerate and uncomplicated flatmate. He did his work very conscientiously and accurately.
