  • Description

We are moving and we need last-minute help from the NOW until the 10th July. If you can come anytime during this period please get in touch.
We live in a large Cornish stone barn overlooking Falmouth Bay, and a few minutes walk to the beach. It's really very beautiful.
The area in which we live has been farmed for many hundreds of years.

    Jobs can include:
    - maintaining an organic vegetable garden
    - general handy work around the property, building renovation
    - stone walling
    - painting, decorating
    - building conservation and construction
    - landscaping
    - gardening
    - propagation
    - indoor work such as washing, ironing, cleaning the house, cooking

No experience is necessary as training is given on the job.
On average we work Monday-Friday for about 5 hours per day. Depending on the time of year and the jobs that need to be done.
We are looking for volunteers who will stay for one month or more, 6 weeks is ideal.
Most of the time we will have a placement available for one helper. We don't usually have places for couples or groups except under special circumstances.
We normally have four to six helpers at the same time. Sometimes as many as eight or 9.
We do need long term help. Especially with computer and administration. And with the organic vegetable garden.

We rotate cooking duties and encourage you to share the food of your home with all of us!

    What else ...

Surfing is available locally, and The North Coast Surfing is only 40 minutes away.
There are many local walks. Especially along the coast, which is very beautiful.
Also within a mile (fifteen minute walk) there is a good local village (St Keverne) with two pubs, shops, post office, newsagent, and a very pleasant community.
There is also a pub on the beach and very good fishing

We supply waterproof clothes for dirty jobs or for when it is raining. We have waterproof boots, but you may still want to bring your own working shoes.
    We have WiFi.
We have a washing machine and a hair dryer that you can use.
We have bedding and sheets, but you should bring your own towel.
